Probably because they realize they're playing for a team that actually wants to win and is willing to spend to do it/spend to put other players around that guy, so they're willing to take a bit less.

Also, I 100% legitimately had a nightmare last night that we extended Avisail Garcia for 5/60 beyond his existing terrible deal.
