I'm sure you're implying that a massive overpay would get people to sign here but that's not happening so if offers are fair/equal/comparable then why would anyone choose the Marlins if they have other offers? Money aside, the Marlins are nobody's first choice. 

They need to go sign Longoria asap to a deal similar to Corey Kluber’s. The guy is exactly the kind of player they need in that clubhouse and On the field. He’s not the player he once was but he’s still a easy upgrade at the position that won’t cost you prospect capital or much money.

Craig is much more reliable than that Texas' lion, he didn't Swings and Mishes this time but it's really weird he didn't say anything about this signing.

I'm not dislike him and honestly I following him every single day in the off-season because he covers this team the most. He becomes much more cautious after the disasters of last off-season and deadline (maybe he's just a victim of the incompetence of this front office).

I remember reading someone saying Cueto is a target only if they trade a SP. 

After adding 8.5 mil AAV to payroll with the Segura signing, I see Wendle more likely to move now. Maybe a team with a bat will be intrigued by a Wendle + Lopez offer.  Joey is set to earn almost 6 mil.
