CF is important but getting offensive upgrades by any means necessary is also important.

Exactly, Philly proved this year that a very good offensive team can win even with terrible defense. You won’t win with a team that has a bunch of dudes slashing .225/.309/.395 but happen to each be 3 WAR players because they play good defense. All that team does is exactly what this past years team does. Limit runs, but lose 1-0 and 2-1 regardless because they can’t score. THEY. NEED. HITTERS.

And Philly's pitching was just good enough to keep the leads that their super lineup got for them. We need that just good enough offense that can overcome the few runs our aces give up.

This wouldn't have anything to do with money. He is going to get the minimum salary. He is being paid by San Diego already.

This is reasonable.

Last off-season, they don't need to sign Corey Seager to make me happy, I would be very happy if they sign Starling Marte but they don't. 

This off-season, they don't need to sign Trea Turner to make me happy, I would be very happy if they sign Jose Abreu but they don't. 

This regime always reluctant to give FA hitters over 30 years old relative long term contracts, they don't give Marte four years and don't give Abreu three years, it seems they're smart but they don't.

Curious how you guys would react to this take? I'm not sure how to take it yet myself but he's saying that Avisail sucked but Soler was "just" injured and was doing ok before then so maybe Soler isn't an issue as a full time DH in 2023 obviously assuming health?

It's 2023 and this world is still waiting.
