How the hell did this saying start anyway

without looking it up, either the word "proof" was meant as alcohol, like "80 proof" and then it was some kind of alcoholic pudding

OR

some important person was poisoned and it was proven when poison was found in his/her/their pudding.

OR

I made these both up and it's something totally different.

How do you know you didn't guess right?

true. a VIP is never wrong - or at least shouldn't be questioned.

Love to move our injury prone 2b to a more dangerous position

It's not though. Less action in CF really. More time to react. Softer surface with all the synthetic grass out there. No being slide into. Less sliding.

Jazz in CF will make Soler an OK LF. Lol

Is there a chance this is slightly a bluff to get the Pirates to lower their asking price?

Yea I don't mind this being said publicly, my question is whether or not Kim is still nagging the Pirates behind the scenes as Reynolds would realllllly make a difference now that we have Arraez.

Our defense is going to be atrocious. It's not even fair to use the "Oh but they gonna hit" excuse either. I am OK with Jazz in CF if he is on board. My first thought was Dee Gordon when he tried out CF with the Mariners and that didn't pan out at all.

What I don't like is the infield. Soler needs to stay pretty much full time DH having him in LF is a straight handicap.

I think Jesus Sanchez still has to be in the mix. He has hit everywhere but here.

Which is why he's unlikely to be in said mix.

God i hope so. LF, RF and DH is still atrocious. Give up the farm for Reynolds and sign Profar and Yuli

Thats fair.

But he has no options remaining. It's either we give him another shot or give up on him. He has outhit Bleday at every level, and pretty handily at that. Both are similar ages.

I think he could be a MLB quality player and dont want to give up yet. Last year we tried the BS in centerfield. I think that affected his bat.

This is what the Marlins should have done last year.

But Mattingly was manager so he probably didnt even fucking think about that idea.

Skip being the intelligent modern day type manager, probably suggested it to Jazz and then they probably went to Kim and said, look, if you cant figure out how to find a CF, we got you covered.

Bout fucking time.

Dee Gordon was never a good defender to start with.

Never had a great arm so it was going to be difficult for him to transition when aside from speed he isnt that good of a natural defender.

Comparing Dee Gordon going to CF to Jazz going to CF is not fair to Jazz at all.

This actually makes sense.

Interesting move, I will say if you can play Shortstop you can probably play anywhere

SS and CF are the premier positions in the infield and outfield.

You put your best athlete's in those spot.

Makes sense that Jazz would be able to pick up CF.  As long as he is able to get a good first step and make good reads, he will excel in CF.

Soler was pretty on par for what he does actually last season. You HAVE to believe Avi won't be AS bad. I still like DLC as well. Soler honestly should be a DH in a perfect scenario.

If you are holding onto hope that Avisail Garcia is going to propel this team into playoff contention you are going to be in for great disappointment I"m afraid.

doesnt make them more than a 4th place team

(which they still are).

You know the wild card exists right?
