January 20, 20233 yr Our defense is going to be atrocious. It's not even fair to use the "Oh but they gonna hit" excuse either. I am OK with Jazz in CF if he is on board. My first thought was Dee Gordon when he tried out CF with the Mariners and that didn't pan out at all. What I don't like is the infield. Skip being the intelligent modern day type manager, probably suggested it to Jazz and then they probably went to Kim and said, look, if you cant figure out how to find a CF, we got you covered. Never had a great arm so it was going to be difficult for him to transition when aside from speed he isnt that good of a natural defender. Comparing Dee Gordon going to CF to Jazz going to CF is not fair to Jazz at all.

You put your best athlete's in those spot. Makes sense that Jazz would be able to pick up CF. As long as he is able to get a good first step and make good reads, he will excel in CF.
