They are going to do cock races in Miami?   Seriously?

they also had fireworks on Bark at the Park Night, fireworks on military veterans appreciation night, and gifted recovering alcoholic Miguel Cabrera a bottle of rum

Holy crap, I didn’t know/remember Miggy is an alcoholic.

”In 2012 and 2013, Cabrera was nominated by his team for the Roberto Clemente Award, honoring the MLB player who best represents baseball on and off the field.”

But also

”Legal matters: In the early morning of October 3, 2009, police were called to the Cabrera home and took Cabrera in for questioning. Cabrera had come home at 6:00 am, after a night of drinking at the nearby Townsend Hotel, and got in an argument with his wife. He was seen later that day at a game at Comerica Park, with scratches on his face. Cabrera told reporters that the scratches came from his dog, and refused to discuss the matter further. It was later reported he had a blood alcohol level of .26 when tested.

On January 21, 2010, it was reported that Cabrera spent three months in an alcohol abuse treatment center to help him recover from his addiction. He said at the time he had not consumed any alcohol since he was taken into custody in October 2009, and that he would continue his treatment into spring training and the regular season.

Cabrera was arrested in Florida on suspicion for drunken driving and resisting arrest on February 16, 2011. The matter was settled on a "no contest" plea to Driving Under the Influence with the resisting charge dropped, and he was sentenced without additional jail time.”

Welp.

So they got rid of the sea creatures race to later replace it with......rooster races?  Really?

Is this sponsored by Goya or La Lechonera?  haha

Jeter is probably pissed lol

But this is a twisted sense of humor and I actually kinda like it. It's like no way they'll do this so watch us do this 😆

Reminds me of some of those bizarre tweets early in the season that were like "they really said that?"

Oh noes, someone call PETA

never, ever call PETA, unless you're looking for someone to euthanize your perfectly healthy dog.

BRING BACK HR SCULPTURE

You know, I have this theory that after the HR sculpture was removed that the Marlins will not hit a lot of HRs at home until it’s returned. I’ve looked it up and since the Marlins removed it they have been either at the very bottom or bottom 3 or 4 in MLB in HRs hit at home.

Of course that theory doesn’t take into account that removing the sculpture coincided with them losing all their good players. But still. I’m sticking with my theory. I’m not saying it’s at the same level of the Billy Goat with the Cubs or Bambino with the Red Sox. But until the Marlins return the sculpture back into the park they will probably remain at or near the bottom in HR hit at home park. 😂

Your theory is sound to me
