With those guys out of options and with Avi's contract, the roster was set long ago barring any injuries. This has long been my issue with supposed spring training competitions. So many guys are really only there in case those in front of them get seriously injured. There are very few actual position battles in ST.

But then again neither has Avi Garcia been the same since his breakout year in 2021. And yet Avi gets to stay and gets the starting job and a big salary.

If this team pay 12 million to Mancini and not Avi this year then Mancini make the team and not Avi, simple and clear. 

I believe this team would give Avi 100~130 PA to prove himself and cut tied with him if he hitting suck and replace him with Myers, if it's not the case then boycott them. 

I just want to know WHO Myers is ASAP.
