  1. Polanco needs to go home and drain some fluid out of his head that thing looks like it is going to go POP BOOM POP soon. I hope it doesn't happen near another player or umpire because it will probally kill them from the explosion. He is so bad now. It's crazy that he was a really good player just like 2 years ago (not hall of famer but good .) what happened to him?????
  2. Gallardo was lights out tonight. Stanton looked rusty but he will get back into the swing of things (lol). As for Lomo I thought I wa watching Frankenstein play baseball today. I did t know that monsters played games. Dietrich looked horrible and Ricky nolasco had a off night. We will be back at them tomorrow I hope. Still got to get to 500. Hopefully polancos back shuts him down the rest of the year and hopefully Pierre feels like staying by his bedside to comfort his fellow veteran so Ruggiano can play a little. I'm not going to mention Solano because I will just start a argument but he will be back soon and then I will mention him when he leads the team in batting average at the end of the season
  3. What is his username on the Marlins official site message board? IDK i just remember having so many debates with him last year when solano had a solid spring training where he was emphatic about how he would be great in the majors and i found out he was only saying this because he was colombian rooting for a fellow colombian. But what's wrong with Colombians? And didn't he have a great year last year? He will be back soon anyway Dietrich is going to be below 200 soon. Also if Hechy doesn't hit soon Solano might take over at ss. He is playing 2 nd base 3 rd base and ss in aaa.
  4. Gallardo looks great tonight. Told you guys he is a sleeping giant. Maybe my trade idea wasn't so bad ???
  5. Sometimes you have to use your eyes I don't even know what half of the statistics are now because there's so many and it's all nothing without watching the game and seeing for yourself. Average home runs and ribs are the important statistics that is why they give a triple crown reward if you lead the MLB on them. The rest of the statistics are pointless there is no way to judge a players defense unless you check there error totals and All the rest are just a fad that will pass for sure. Dont take this the wrong way but were you the guy who used to post on the message board on the marlins official website? I posted on there before yeah. That board is t good though.
  6. Now Solano is posting bible tweets lol. Good for him. He has faith and so do I . God is the only one who can make the final decision and Beinfest can send him to aaa but he can't stop Solano from making it back when he starts to destroy aaa pitchers and Dietrich continues to drop his average down down down.

  8. Sending Solano to aaa and leaving Dietrich in the MLB is a rediculous decision by the front office. Definitely not the right decision for the team and I bet alot of people are happy. He will be up in no time and hopefully it won't be to late. I'm glad Stanton is back because we missed the big worm. But we are gaining power with him and wasting solanos high average. At least hour aaa team just got better.
  9. 2013 Solano: .278 AVG | .286 wOBA | 78 wRC+ | -1.68 WPA/600 PA | -1.02 fWAR/600 PA | -0.0 rWAR/600 PA Dietrich: .229 AVG | .307 wOBA | 93 wRC+ | 0.92 WPA/600 PA | 0.51 fWAR/600 PA | 0.51 rWAR/600 PA DEFENSE Solano: 0.0 DPR | 1.1 RngR | -2.4 ErrR | -1.4 UZR | -6.8 UZR/150 | -0.1 dWAR (b-ref) Dietrich: -0.6 DPR | -2.5 RngR | 1.6 ErrR | -1.4 UZR | -5.2 UZR/150 | -0.2 dWAR (b-ref) Ironically, both have EXACTLY the same number of plate appearances this season (118) So what this means is Solano's average is meaningless and Dietrich is certainly the better hitter... Good to know. How can you say that when he is hitting 50 points higher. A 229 average in the MLB is not acceptable and that is the reason why Dietrich will go to the bench when Solano returns. Solano will end the year at 300 or higher and a couple of home runs that Dietrich might hit more then Solano doesn't make up for the low low low low low average. Batting average is still the most important statistic for a hitter and Solano is so much better then Dietrich in that department and it is not even close. It's no secret that I am very high on Solano I think he is going to be a great player for us or whatever team he goes to. I don't understand the hate that some people have for him. I know some of you are just as high on him as me but I don't get the few members that just don't like him for no reason atall. Sending him to aaa is not fair and its not what is best for the team. Definitely they made the wrong decision. God does have a plan for him and he will be back soon and the team will be better from it. Rediculois decision by the front office. They really dropped the ball by sending him to aaa if it is true.
  10. So...we're still not talking about how small his head is? I mean, come on. That's my avatar! His head isn't small, his ears are just huge. I'm a big fan of Brantly, mostly for the bat, which is finally starting to come around. I just hope he hits a dinger soon.I think the team is alergic to dingers. Is there a doctor in the house ? Lol
  11. All reports had Ozuna as a Soriano like player. To me he looks like he has an idea at the plate and will also be a 25 HR guy. Very impressed with his all around game. I'm thinking Raul Mondesi might be a good comparison.Raul Mondesi was a monster if Ozuna turns into him I would be very happy.
  12. We will let Beinfest and Redman decide. Hopefully they make the right choice. Solano is to valuable to sit on the bench and needs to be in the lineup every day. I don't think Mark Redman's opinion should really matter.Sorry I meant Mike Redmond (the manager.) My bad.
  13. Got to have the real cheese these days. I keep a Kosher household. I'm not sure I can root for a player that is a beefcake and also has the real cheese.Lol. Serously though this team definitely needs more beefcakes and big stinky cheese.
  14. Not I. Dietrich needs all the at bats he can get. Solano has no future in major league baseball, all taking away at bats from Dietrich to give to Solano is stunting the development of a Dietrich, a player who actually has the talent and upside to play at the MLB level. We will let Beinfest and Redman decide. Hopefully they make the right choice. Solano is to valuable to sit on the bench and needs to be in the lineup every day.
  15. I think both should share time depending on matchup. I would be ok with a platoon between them.
  16. To me he looks like a utility infield but if he has to play every day I don't expect him to be better then 230 to 250 average with maybe 10 home runs but that is about all. He will probably go to the bench or 3 rd base when Solano comes back. He has a little more power then Solano but Solano is a better player overall especially when factor in the defense. ehe. Solano is awful defensively, cant hit, and has no power. Solano is a 0 tool player. As bad as the Marlins are, its a stretch to say that Solano even has enough talent to be a bench player on the worst team in 100 years. It was downright embarrassing that he was starting games for a major league team. He wouldnt even make the bench on the other 29 teams. What you say here is redicilous. Solano hit almost 300 last year and his average was on the rise when he went on the DL. He has way more range then Dietrich and softer hands to. Solano makes errors sometimes because he try's to get everything and touches more balls then most other players because he has good range. His arm is as strong as Dietrich maybe stronger the only thing he doesn't do as good is hit home runs and his batting average makes up for it he isn't here to put the ball over the wall. When he comes off the DL I see diteich going to the bench and maybe even triple a if his average doesn't improve by the time coghlan comes back from DL. Bad players come up and hit all the time...until other teams see them a time or two. Solano was arguably the worst player in baseball for the first 25 games of the year, with an OPS around .540, its hard not to have your average on the rise when you are that terrible. Despite what you think, he has no range, and he has stone hands. Solano was a bad player in minor league baseball. Against minor league pitching. He couldnt hit a lick. He got released by the St. Louis Cardinals as a minor leaguer, and at the time the Cardinals had among the weakest middle infield depth of any farm system in baseball(this was before the emergence of Kolton Wong and Carpenter was still a corner infielder). Solano is a terrible baseball player in every single way. I guess we will have to wait and see. I hope Beinfest does the right thing and allows him to start when he returns because Dietrich has not done enough to take the job from him.
  17. RHP J. Turner -- 2009 1st Round pick LHP J. Nicolino -- 2010 2nd Round pick RHP J. Fernandez -- 2011 1st Round pick LHP A. Conley -- 2011 2nd Round pick LHP A. Heaney -- 2012 1st Round pick Plus: RHP N. Eovaldi, RHP A. DeSclafani, RHP H. Alvarez, And don't forget about the three young pitchers the Marlins just took early in the 2013 draft: LHP Matt Krook, RHP Trevor Williams, RHP Colby Suggs Me likey. Other then Jose Fernandez and evoldi who can both cheese it in at about 95 are there any on that list who can bring the big heat? In the modern time MLB you have to bring the big fasty to the mound if you will have real success. RHP J. Turner -- 2009 1st Round pick LHP J. Nicolino -- 2010 2nd Round pick RHP J. Look what happened to him when he couldn't get that movement. Got to have the real cheese these days.

Dietrich is better than Solano in every way possible and Solano will be on the bench when he returns. You have your opinion and I have mine. I think that Dietrich has not done enough to take away the job from Solano. We are a better team with Solano getting 4 at bats every night at the top of the lineup. Dietrich has more power so he can pinch hit late in the game for the pitcher and hope he hits a dinger to tie the game. Dietrich is t that bad but I don't see him as a every day player.

  22. perhaps I'll be considered crazy for mentioning this as well - but the ball coming off Ozuna's bat has that "sound" to it as well. Certain players just generate that beautiful loud "crack" when the ball meets the wood, Stanton has it (when he's actually healthy), Miggy had/has it, Floyd had it....I don't know if it just means the ball is lining up with the sweet spot on the barrel of the bat or what - but there is a certain sound that seems to only consistenly come from good players making contact. We can joke all we want to about how any marlin actually making contact will make a joyful noise but that sound is just...there...when he makes contact. Anyone else have an ear for what I'm talking about? I know exactly what you are talking about. There is that very special sound that the bat makes and it sounds like a thunder clap and the ball jumps like a grass hopper. I love that sound but I have not noticed it from Ozuna but I have noticed it coming off other players sticks. I will keep ear open for Ozunas next time up and hopefully I hear that sound because it is something that you can't see looking at statistics.
  23. I hope he does good but he's always hurt. But I guess that can be blamed on there training staff because so many marlins are on the DL because of the strength training and conditioning that they get here.
  24. The march to 500 has started. Put on your seatbelts everybody.
  25. He doesn't have a small head, his head is normal sized but his neck and upper torso are huge, making him a total beefcake. Seriously I can't get how somethingfishy didn't name Brantly as one of his beefcake guys. That guy is not a beefcake. Just look at his arms. His neck looks big because his head is tiny. He also has very small hands. I like Brantly and I think he can have a Paul laduca kind career but he is not a beefcake. I don't care that much though because he is a bottom of the order hitter where the power doesn't need to be. The only thing I worry about with small guys like him and coghlan are injury and look at where coghlan is now.
