  1. If you only look at math problems and computer programs to watch baseball then why even watch the games on tv or in person? Just watch them on the computer. The eye test is the best way to know how good a player is and unless you rely on the eyes you ne'er know what the number are telling you. Especially in defense where the computer has no clue of how good somebody I at fielding. You have to watch the players to know what they are good at. The computer does not know how good a guys arm is or how much I the field they can cover or if they have gentle hands or not.
  2. I like Ozuna so much but I'm kind of concerned about his ability to hit the dinger. I like his high average and good defense but the corner outfields have to supply power to the lineup. Do you think he will start to hit a few balls out when he is use to MLB pitching? If yes what do you guys think his ceiling could be? Out of my corner outfields I want to see at least 30 home runs. Same for my 3 rd basemen and 1 st basemen. The rest of the table setters need to get on base. With that being said how many taters could Ozuna have potential for in a full time year do you think? Ozuna will hit more homers when he has better protection in the lineup. I like this version of Ozuna anyway -- hitting for high average and hitting w/ RISP. The power will come. You obviously don't watch Ozuna, because he hits the ball hard almost every time.He hits it hard but not a lot of them are in the air so he just hits alot of singles and doubles. If he is going to be a guy who only hits 5 to 10 ddingers a year maybe we should move him to CF?

  4. He reminds me of Frankenstein when he is out in the field playing defense. He is still better then everybody we have had for at 1 st base this year and he might not hit for any good average but at least he will hit some balls over the fence by accident. Do not get to use to him in the lineup because i will bet my bottom dollar that the softy will be back on the DL in no time.
  5. This is why Mathis is here. To teach him about not doing those kinds of things. I garanteed they had a talk about it.
  6. Cogs (calf) to DL Another one bites the dust. The teams trainer needs to be evaluated at the end of the year for sure.
  7. I hope he is the size he is listed as because I will be very disappinted if he is shorter then 6"3' and under 215 pounds because that is already small for a 3 rd basemen and if he's smaller then that we are in trouble.
  8. If you really want to have Dietrich in the lineup he can go to shortstop and hecheverria can become a utility infield. Then you can have a lineup like this, Cf Yelich 2b Solano Lf Ozuna Rf Stanton C bratny 1b Morrison 3b Moran Ss Dietrich That is the best offense lineup we can put out on the field and if Moran is not ready next year we can keep coghlan at 3 rd base.
  9. I'm very excited for next year... Story of my life. 1. L - Yelich 2. R - Hechavarria 3. L - Moran 4. R - Stanton 5. L - Morrison 6. R - Ozuna 7. L - Dietrich 8. L - Brantly I know some of you will jump down my throat for having Hech batting second, but that would seem to make the most sense. He breaks up all the lefties and hitting second in a lineup like this would get him a TON of fastballs to hit... I like it. Thy lineup doesn't look that bad I would only make a couple of changes and I guess maybe Moran might not be able to play yet but it's better than this year with polanco and dobbs in there.
  10. I guess everyone can have an opinion. I still don't understand how anybody can not like pitbull. I don't get it.
  11. Marlins sign and trade Moran to the Brewers for future hall of famer Aramis Ramirez. LINK?
  12. Well SS and 3B were equally weak parts of this organization. The FO just seems enamored with Hechavarria for some reason. He's a rookie so his hitting will only improve more next year and he is a monster on defense so they will stay with him for a long time and he will either become a top or middle of the order hitter if he doesn't he will stay 7 or 8th as long as he keeps on being a vacuum in the field. He plays the most important defense position in the field.
  13. Marlins sign and trade Moran to the Brewers for future hall of famer Aramis Ramirez. What??? Link????
  14. Most importantly, what's his beefcake status? His beefcake status? Not good. But he has bodyguards all the time so he doesn't need to worry about that. He is the same height as David Samson I think.
  15. Ok, now he needs to be banned. Calling Pitbull talented merits a ban. Even if you don't like him you have to admit he is very talented at everything he does. And he always supports the marlins and everything else miami has he really is mr 305. No other star ever supports the marlins like him.
  16. He has a pretty good size and can maybe gain about 15 pounds. I think he should be a good power man. We need a power batter other then Stanton.
  17. I mute that commercial, every time. But it is Pitbull, yes. I guess just YouTube "Pitbull Miami Marlins Song 2013" or something, might get the audio, at least. I thought it sounded like him and I looked for it searching with his name and marlins and I couldn't find it. I thought maybe it was just somebody who sounds like him because he didn't say DALE in the song. For anybody who doesn't like him why? How can you not like pitbull he is mr 305 and always goes out there an represents this city and our people. The guy is super talented. If somebody finds the song can they please put a link?
  18. I want to download the song that they are playing in the commercials on the radio and on tv but I am not sure who sings it or what its called. It sounds like pitbull but im not sure does anybody else know? Its the one that goes come on and join the marlins yall. dive right in and have a ball. dive right in to the fun. Or something like that. Anybody know where I can get it cause I love it lol I sing it all the time.
  19. Ok now ban him. Anybody who mentions Hechavarria, Solano and Mathis as part of our future lineup is obviously trolling. If he's not...I just feel sorry for him. Mathis is DEFINITELY not part of the permanent lineup but when he's out there that is one heck of a defensive infield!!!! Hecheverria is definitely par of the future no doubt. Solano also even though most of you are down in him.
  20. If he can put on another 15 pounds or so and become a 30-40 home run a year player we will really have something here with him. Hopefully he can flash some sweet leather down there at the hot corner with some major league coaching. I hear he can pick it and throw real good. We will have a killer defensive infield with him, hecheverria, Solano and Mathis behind the plate. Just need a first basemen that can field. I hope Morrison can be at least average there.
  21. Are you Jeff Mathis? No I'm Jorge Fabregas I just get upset when people make fun of great defensive catchers that can't hit baseballs.
  22. all the outfield talent in the pipe hole Yes marisnick, Yelich, Ozuna, Stanton, coghlan, Ruggiano. That is 6 starting outfielders young. Coghlan will move to 3 rd base but still there are only 3 spots available so we can either trade pieces for infielders of the future or move some to other positions like 1 st base. Does anybody know if Ruggiano or marisnick have ever played 1 st base or not? Ruggiano looks like he has the skills but he is a little short.
  23. I have always been amazed that Jeff Mathis has stuck around as much as he is. He is legitimately one of the worst players of all time. No player that has made it in the MLB can be called the worse player of all time. Just getting to the MLB is an achievement and if you have a long successful career with alot of respect from alot of teams like Jeff Mathis then you are definitely not the worse. The worse player of all time will not make a million dollars a year. I will not even make a million dollars in my hole life.
  24. How. Is. This. Guy. Still. Here? SOOO obvious. Is there anything else interesting going on right now? Just take a hit and laugh at it It's not really funny anymore. It's just annoying and disruptive. He needs to be banned. Hey bro, that's just your opinion that you're untitled to. Thank you.
  25. Anyway, how about a ban bet since you don't have any money? If the Marlins lose 100 games or more, you are permanently banned from the forum. You say that there is no way that the Marlins lose 100 games, so you should have no issues making such a bet. Why are you so obsessed with getting me banned? I like posting here its the only place that talks about the marlins.
