Moehler vs. Peavy. Great. :plain I believe that Peavy is injured and will miss the start. At least there's a chance. Jake Peavy will test his shoulder during a bullpen session on Thursday. Peavy hopes to be over the shoulder tendinitis which has bothered him the past month. If the shoulder is an issue during Thursday's session the Padres might shut him down for a few weeks. "FYI: Forget contraction; MLB has taken it off the table." Is this true?

Nic Ungs pitched a four-hit shutout Monday for Triple-A Albuquerque. The 26-year-old Ungs has little chance of being a long-term member of the Florida rotation, but he'd be a better stopgap that Brian Moehler right now and he could fit in as a middle reliever down the line. He's 5-2 with a 2.59 ERA in eight starts for Albuquerque. May. 16 - 4:51 pm et Why haven't we ever given him a chance. Didn't he pitch a no hitter last year? I'd like to see him replace Herges or Messenger.

Petit called up...Mitre to DL source rotoworld.com

Let's just say that he is way over my expectations.

and then Amezaga being thrown out in the 8th. That HURT!

Colorado needs to wise up and load up on strikeout pitchers. Ball in play = bad for Coors. It's hardt o be a strikeout pitcher because the ball doesn't move as good.

He made the right move....Cepicky is a lefty...Not everything works as planned. I love it how everyone here always blames the managers. The MARLINS SUCK. It is that simple. It's hard to say that though because I am as big of a fan as you guys.

This debate between Willis and Wright is useless. The Mets DECLINED it! It's gone!

Doubtful. We already have a pretty good 3rd baseman. :whistle Cabs could go back to the outfield and we have an abundance of pitching in the minors....Although I am not in favor of trading Willis but Wright is awesome.

Sometime within the last several weeks, the Marlins offered Dontrelle Willis to the Mets for David Wright, according to Newsday. That wasn't going to work. Willis for Jose Reyes would have been more realistic, though the Marlins now have Hanley Ramirez and the Mets probably would have turned it down anyway. As inexpensive as he is right now, Wright might be the game's most valuable property. Albert Pujols is the only obviously better bet for the next five years, and he'll make $77 million during that time. Apr. 23 - 12:50 pm et Source: Newsday

Wouldn't doubt it

What are the chances of actually plaing the game with all that rain out there?

maybe they can skip him this week because of the rainout!!!!!!!!!!!!!!PLEASE!!!!!

Everyone there tonight gets a free papa johns pizza because Dontrelle won the game....they announced before the game that if dontrelle won we all get a box if we go withing 48 hours.....yay...hope you kept your ticket!

sec 155 row 12

Make that 6 runs in 5 1/3 innings....great start

Cabrera looked bad all game offensively. If he would have been patient in that last at bat, we would have had men on 1st and 2nd with no outs. Oh well, it's just one game.

Hit - Miguel Cabrera Double - Miguel Cabrera Triple - Hanley Ramirez HR - Miguel Cabrera RBI - Miuel Cabrera Run Scored - Hanley Ramirez Stolen Base - Jeremy Hermida Caught Stealing - Hanley Ramirez Error - Dan Uggle Win -Dontrelle Willis

Tike Redman - OF - Mets Mets released outfielder Tike Redman. Redman probably requested the move after being reassigned to minor league camp. Redman was always miscast as a starter, but there are worse fifth outfielders out there. We wouldn't be surprised to see the Marlins grab him. Mar. 29 - 8:08 pm et

They talked about his dad more than him.

marlins win

What did he do now?

He is playing second base right now (replacing Uggla) and Immediately hit a two run bomb. Is this something that we will see happening often...Not the homerun part.
