Willingham has no future at catcher, so most likely in 2006 willingham and aguila can compete for that starting hole that will be left by niner. But as far as this year goes, I doubt willingham makes the bigs unless he kicks ass in spring training. Aguila can defintely be a good 4th OF, and you arent really wasting his talent by having him on the bench like you would be doin with willingham. Also dillon may crack the lineup. I also think that treanor will be our 2nd catcher 667390[/snapback] I think Hermida will come in for conine in 2006. And about treanor being our second catcher, I think it will be Difelice. He has more experience.

I agree. If we move miggy we should move him to right field. Pretty soon hermida is gonna come up and we can move cabs back to left and put hermida in right. So i think that cabrera has a future in the outfield. He is also getting pretty big so he is gonna lose some of his mobility. I just can't see him as anything but a below-average to average first baseman defensively. I say we bring stokes up late in the year and see if he can be our full-time first baseman in 2006. Assuming we don't sign delgado.

I hope he can regain his composure. The marlins really need another good player to come out of their farm so they can have a good player for the league minimum. I think that right now the marlins farm is not all that bad. It's not as stacked as past years, but it's in pretty good shape. I can't wait for an outfield of Miggy, Reed, and Hermida.

wow. this thread went from what do you think about mientkewtiz to do you think we really offered him 4/45? Anyway, I really don't think we should go after anyone else if we don't land delgado. I think we should keep the money if we don't sign him and use it for mid-season transactions.

I think we could be competetive as we are now. And when we sign delgado we'll be ready for another world series run. I think it's better to save some money for transactions at the trading deadline.
