Tom Brady Might Miss Next Season
i dont even see how this is an argument....cassell is a decent qb who had tremendous players around him and played a weak schedule as cassell was pretty bad in every important game to the pats aside from a few weather helping the defense wins at the end you put matty C. on the lions and he will get hurt because they are so bad and he will have a nothing career on a team without that offensive line, moss, welker, faulk, etc. Ah sh*t, I knew it was only a matter of time before this guy chimed in. He lead them to an 11-5 record (same as brady's first season) and had better numbers his first season than Brady had in his. I'm not arguing that he is better, because he is not. I am saying he is a very good player . The entire AFC had the same schedule with the exception of TWO games. You could argue if a couple of calls go their way they beat the jets and colts and finish 13-3. There were games were the pats didnt have a running game because their backs were out. I for one would love it if he ended up on the jets next season. I dont know of many first year players that finish with 3700 yards passing and 21 tds. hi, first of all...im not "this guy" second of all...most any qb would look pretty damn decent with the O-line the pats have and then the surrounding cast you have... put cassell on a team without any weapons and he is a nobody tom brady didnt really have anyone and he made them into weapons(with the addition of a strong running game headed up by antwoin smith and later corey dillon) and then two years ago, they went out and got him all weapons...and i for one, as a dolphins fan...love it...because teams that solely pass the ball...never win...examples, fouts and marino So you are saying the 2008 patriots were a passing team since they had 3700 passing yards? They had 2278 rushing yards as a team in 2008. The 2006 super bowl champion colts had 1762 team rushing yards and 4180 passing yards. I guess passing teams never win. congrats, you found the exception to the rule...and they passed to addai alot out of the backfield which were veritable runs... at any rate, its proven time and time again that you need at least a threat of a running game to win in the NFL...the pats, once getting sammy morris and the other guy back were a much better team(just ask their defense)...running the ball means you can control the clock and keep your defense off the field...outside of the league making it easier to pass, the game of football is still won with a strong running game for balance and a good if not great defense

Tom Brady Might Miss Next Season
Moss had 69 catches, 1009 Yards and 11 Tds Welker had 111 catches for 1165 yards Cassell had 21 Tds, ONLY 11 interceptions, and 3693 yards The Patriots averaged 25.6 points a game, good for 8th in the league Matt Cassel can lead this team to the playoffs. He is capable of doing it, as he showed this year. They may not be a playoff team, but an 11-5 record is not bad. It's a playoff team almost every year. Rofl... did you miss last season? 69 catches and 1008 yards is a severe letdown for Moss, considering with Brady he had 98 catches for 1493 yards... with more than double the TD's he had this year at 23. He wasnt even in the top 20 for receiving this year. His production went down by 30 yards per game. How can you try to make this argument? Its not even comparable to last season. He was twice, if not three times the producer with Brady throwing to him. Wes Welker's TD production also dropped... by 5 of the previous 8 he had. More than a 50% drop in TD production. And those TD's were not going to anybody else, so it was making the Patriots a worse team offensively. Ah yes, Matt Cassell and his amazing performance of 21 TDs. Lets not forget to mention Tom Brady and his... wait... NFL all time record with 50 TDs! And 8 interceptions, less than Cassell's 11! Unless that team is 100% healthy with Matt Cassel as QB (which will never happen, because its football) or Tom Brady is controlling it, they are not a playoff team. Pure and simple. You have no idea what you are talking about, thats what's pure and simple. They had a ton of injuries and still finished with the same amount of wins as the dolphins. If the dolphins had played the jets week 11 when the patriots did, the dolphins would have lost. We all know what happened with farve after week 12. Also factor in that Cassel had to learn the offense and get experience. His week 2 start was his first start in 6 years. Look at his numbers after the first month, they were a much better team. The patriots did not make the playoffs this season, but they had a better record than 4 teams who did make the playoffs. The reason they are out of the playoffs is because all 5 of their loses were in the AFC and lost tie breakers to the dolphins and ravens. Regardless, I am thrilled that they didnt make the playoffs. I have no idea what Im talking about? I LOVE how you just bypass what I say, ("Unless that team is 100% healthy with Matt Cassel as QB") and proceed to make the argument "They had a ton of injuries and still finished with the same amount of wins as the dolphins". You sir have no idea what you are talking about. Seriously, the Dolphins had a maddd easy schedule this season. They deserved it, however, going 1-15. The Patriots had a friggin easy schedule though as well... wait I thought the Patriots went 16-0? They did! And they still couldnt top the 1-15 Dolphins from a season ago. The Patriots didnt get tested at all so far as opponents, though I guarantee you with Brady as QB they would have been headed towards another near unbeatable season. And @ Erick, I know nobody said Cassel was better than Brady, but he did say that the Patriots were just fine without him, which simply is not true. They got lucky that their schedule was so easy. What are you talking about? Cassell is a very good QB and could lead the patriots (or will lead another team) to the playoffs. The patriots had more wins than four playoff teams. They lost on a tie breaker to the dolphins and ravens. If he is the pats qb next year, they WILL make it to the playoffs. i dont even see how this is an argument....cassell is a decent qb who had tremendous players around him and played a weak schedule as cassell was pretty bad in every important game to the pats aside from a few weather helping the defense wins at the end you put matty C. on the lions and he will get hurt because they are so bad and he will have a nothing career on a team without that offensive line, moss, welker, faulk, etc.

Pro Bowl to Miami in 2010
I've been screaming for this for a while now.. love the idea. Can't remember the last time I watched a Pro Bowl (or cared about it) and the lack of football the week before the super bowl blows. Love it.. its gonna be pretty sweet. amen...id say its been a good decade since i watched the pro bowl...and this will help to break up the week before the SB and all the times we have to hear about what a miracle ride it was to get to the game and all that other pre-SB bulls***

The Dolphins...
Look at it this way The Dolphins were supposed to be that bottom team that EVERYBODY, even the bottom teams could beat, we have proven them all wrong. True, all the true contenders have fallen off, and that is because those teams haven't been able to win the games they are supposed to win. The Dolphins do what they need to do, they are the most efficient team in the league, don't use the excuses of "well they had an easy schedule" when the season started, they were supposed to be the easy schedule. Other teams were supposed to take advantage of their easy games against the Fins. We have proven them wrong, we win the games that are on our schedule, and we are 1 game away from the playoffs after a 1-15 year. Every person who doesn't care to give the dolphins credit for their good season are just spiteful because they do not want the dolphins to succeed, and when they did, they want to find a way to see that they did it cheaply. Another major reason we have succeeded this year is because obviously we have a very consistent QB, and most importantly we have 10x better O-Line, Jake Long has been amazing this year. Ronnie Brown has been healthy, our secondary has been healthy, and we have not suffered any major injuries except for Camarillo. We have not been weak in any way, except some games our secondary was very weak, but overall we have had an amazing season. Let us have this one. Look, no one here is taking away anything from them. They have had a great season, and they deserve all the credit they receive. However, the Dolphins were able to play against the worst division in the NFC, the worst division in the AFC, and they didn't have to play any of the major opponents like the Steelers, Colts, Titans, etc. If they played even a semi-tough schedule, their record wouldn't nearly be what it is today. also...if we played those other divisions...we would have gotten to play cupcake teams like the browns, bengals, etc. etc. because the nfl is really very even in their scheduling...you just really have to give credit where credit is due and that is a tremendous turn-around season for the phins...

A little info nugget on a possible Peavy Deal
So supposedly someone in the Braves organization is saying that my cousin, Jeff Locke (for those who dont know)...will be included in any deal for Peavy with the San Diego Fathers... just passing along what i hear...although it appears that peavy may not accept a trade anywhere...but this could be a pretty big deal within the NL east and potentially reshape the fortunes of the 5 teams... at any rate...with the marlins wheeling and dealing at will...i suspect that our scouts and beinfest and co. know what they are talking about, as they usually do...GO MARLINS!

Obama apologizes to Nancy Reagan for 'careless' joke
Even if he were a Muslim, who cares? exactly...as i recall...there is no official religion of the United States of America...which means...he could practice martianian and i wouldnt care...i only care if the man can help our country regain our good name, fix the economy, pay attention to global warming and not deny its existence for the purpose of making money, kill off norm braman, and other essential deeds :whistle

Obama apologizes to Nancy Reagan for 'careless' joke
nonstory No it is a legit story . I cringed when Obama intiallly attempted his poor attempt at humor fortunately he did the right thing and apologized for his mistake. I was very impressed with our media. They have yet again done a fantastic job of asking the important questions of the day hopefully the next series of questions will move away from the "dog" issue and address what is President Obama's favorite food and color. Unfortunately, that is our left wing media at it's best. At least left-wing media knows the difference between "its" and "it's". Yes, they are as pathetic and petty as you are. You can punctuate better than I can. At least you have that going for you. well he can punctuate better than you and understand that obama isnt a socialist...a double threat guy if you will

Obama apologizes to Nancy Reagan for 'careless' joke
And what would your and every media outlets reaction been if McCain had joked about Obama hiring Dog the Bounty Hunter to find his dad? except for the fact that nancy reagan actually did have crazy sh*t going on in the white house when she was there...

Just Plain Sick
although I am against legal possession of guns, I have to argue with you that a person can rob a bank with a rock. You can't make knife's illegal, there are always other ways of robbing a bank and killing other people. But guns are the cause of the majority of murders in this country, nobody can dispute that making the possession of guns would significantly decrease the death rate in the U.S That's exactly what I'm saying. And also, someone could try to rob a bank with a rock, it would just be really hard to do. And stupid. And sorry Jimmy Jack for turning your thread into the exact opposite of what you wanted. Couldn't help it no problem...oh...and more information coming out...and i dont have the link sorry...but apparently the boy's father was standing right behind him when the incident occurred and supposedly he was offered to fire other auto rifles but they decided on firing the uzi because of its size and little recoil...that worked out well huh? anyone under 16 should not be allowed by law to fire any kind of a weapon IMO because they cant fully comprehend at that age the consequences of guns

Skinhead Plot To Kill Obama Intercepted By Feds
It's not that easy to kill a freaking president. Some random rednecks with rifles are not going to outsmart the secret service. very true...very very true...but anyone willing to die to kill stands a very serious threat...

Jason Varitek
I wouldn't be against it if he came cheap. He still hits LHP rather well, plays decent defensively, calls a good game, and could platoon with Bake and mentor him. What are the chances of that happening? Uhh... go look at his '08 statline. Doesn't matter, he's still going to ask for a lot more than he's worth. The Marlins are not the type of team who would just go out and spend millions for a backup catcher. Good choice of wording becasue i was about to post Lo Duca o and Puma ^^ They don't think this thread sucks ill speak for the heartbeat of red sox nation right now...and they cant say bye fast enough to tek...

Ok, so my wish with this article is not the usual gun debate that rages in here... but this is dispicable and the organizers of this as well as the parents should face some legal consequences because there is no way in hell AN 8 YEAR OLD SHOULD BE EVEN REMOTELY NEAR A FREAKIN UZI!!! http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27399337/
