I was 50/50 about trading Burnett. If we were able to get MLB ready for now talent, I would of said "go ahead", but what we were getting from the Orioles was garbage, and I was saying that all along. Cabrera is going to be garbage ( ex....Sidney Pnnson, Todd Von Poppel), Penn was maybe a better prospect but even the scouts were unsure of him, Julio, Kline, and Bigbie...........PLEASE.....the only thing they are/were good for is/was....to say there name really really fast 5 times. should of changed there name to from Kline....do DEKLINE from Julio.....to Fulio From Bigbie....to LittleBie from Penn...to BullPENN from Cabrera.....to Ponson

Man every team that was interested in Burnett before the trade deadline, and thought WE WERE asking for toooo much, MUST be kicking themselves in the rear right about now. What is it 7 straight wins, 7 runs in 52 innings. Im happy Beinfest did not pull the trigger, look at us now. I just hope Burnett realizes that we want him here, and maybe he might want to take less money to stay with us. We would have the ebst staff in the majors if not pretty close to the top. Beckett, willis, Burnett can be a 1-2 starter on ANY team in the majors, and we have 3 ACES, we should try as hard as we can to keep this intact. We could call our five pitchers......"The Call of Arms" or "Royal Flush" or "Sunshine Boys"..

As you are all aware, one of our most beloved players of thie era, has been caught cheating, using steriods. After all this time, we all believed Mr. Palmerio, and he is a great ballplayer, for all of his accomplishments. This brings up my boil temp real quick. Why does MLB go after the "good guys"? Why have we not heard of any Yankee getting busted? Your going to tell me that Giambi, has sucked so bad the past 1 1/2 years and all of a sudden he is a homer machine again. He has put weight back on. He has an attitude again, and he is killing the ball. I feel in myheart that Bud Selig is afraid to go after any Yankee. Why not Sheffield? Why not Giambi? Why not Posada? And lets not forget about other players out there? Sammy Sosa.....(enough said) Is Selig AFRAID of certain people, teams, and players? I think so... :mad

that umpire behind the plate was GARBAGE, he is the one that had the Marlins out there tooo long in the first few innings, if it wasnt for that, the Marlins would of pulled it out.......He did not give us the call on any of the corners on Moehlers pitches....

I think Brain Moehler has been heck of a pitcher for us this year. He should have 10-11 wins for us by now, if it was not for the lack of run support earlier this year. He reminds me of Mark Redmon in 2003, an unsung hero, a below the radar guy. Id like to see him back for another year or two. I think we should learn from our Mark Redmon experience, in which we traded him, and now we are trying to get him back, or WERE trying to get him back....I feel the same about Encarnacion, and Damon Easley....What do you guys think about this???

how about marlins get: Ramirez Contreras Cash (about 3mil a year) Everett Boston gets AJ Contreras Hermansen Marte Encarnacion(which I would hate to give up) White Sox get: Lowell Millar Arroyo Mueller Shoppach and/or Sanchez That would be a"blockbuster deal", that would help everyone, but it is also a "wet dream"

How about Marlins get Ramirez Everett White Sox get Bronson Arroyo Sanchez Scott Olsen Or Stokes Or Johnson Red Sox get Lowell AJ Enc McCarthy and/or Marte I think that would be a good trade(a dream trade, that will never happen, and if it does it will be my most wet dream ever), but that would help everyone out....Red Sox get there man AJ, and get rid of Ramirezs' contract, plus a good prospect in McCarthy or Marte...White Sox get three GREAT pitchers, if not ABOVE AVERAGE, and the Marlins get the power the need in the outfield.... just imagine this Marlin lineup 1. I think it was probably Cabrera, he has been doing it all year, and he has been ON FIRE, so I guess the rest of the Marlins figured they should do the same, to change there luck....

I dont think we going to move Burnett. He has already stated that he "prefers" to stay with the Marlins. I would not be surprised if the Marlins make him a good offer to stay, maybe a 3year $24million contract. Plus, we get Beckett back(which I think they are more inclined to trade, secretly), and with Willis, we only have to worry about the back of our pitcher lineup. Who knows maybe we'll keep Valdez, for really cheap after this year. That leaves a 5spot available (Vargas,Johnson,Olsen,free agent?). It will be less worrisome for the front management b/c they know what they can get from those guys, guaranteed everytime they go pitch. We have a abundance of pitchers in the minors. WE DONT NEED anymore. I mean come'on, didnt we just draft 5 in the first two rounds in the draft, and three or four in last years. So what are we going to use them for, trade bait for more pitchers. We need to get a bullpen help, but not at the cost of a "GOOD" starter. Burnett DOES NOT want to be traded, LOOK at the way he has pitched as of late. Kind of like telling the Marlins "look at what your losing, make me an offer". The Marlins earlier said "we can't afford him", but what if they are working on a contract quietly, and that is why, this is getting prolonged? Could be. Read in between the lines. Remember the Mark Kotsay deal in Oakland. Oakland said the same thing"we are playing bad, and we might not be able to keep him". The Marlins are in the same boat. Think about it. I think we could keep someone in the bullpen. Starters: Beckett Burnett Willis Valdez(b/c of experience) Vargas/Olsen Bullpen T.Jones Alfonseca Olsen/Vargas(to get some experience under there belt, for next year?) Mota Mecir Perisho ( I dont know if im missing anyone) Bump? Reidling? Resop? I also think they MIGHT BE, going for a BIG outfield BAT.... Klesko?Nevin? Giles? (they may want one of our mid-level prospects) Jason Lane(from Houston), but they are all in the playoff hunt...Lance Neikro or Micheal Tucker(San Fran),Milton Bradely (Dodgers), etc, and in the AL David Delluci( who the Marlins wanted BAD two years ago, and I think is in a contract year, and would give room for Hermidia), Crawford, Huff, Hollins(Tampa, and could use young Pitching, and might pickup Lowells contract)or Ibanez (Mariner), they are not TOO expensive, and I think most are in contract years, and all could provide some pop off the bat, experience (if they call up Hermidia), and all of those teams are hungry for prospect pitchers....Think about it...

The Red Sox'reportedly" dont want to give up Arroyo, they want to get Burnett for probaly "nothing", and a decent prospect "Kelly Shoppard", to trade Burnett to the Phillies to get Billy Wagner. Im not toooo big on catching Prospect...EEEEHHHHHEMMM...ramon castro...

All it takes is one game at a time. Personally Id like to see Moehler back with the Marlins next year, but I doubt he will return. He reminds me alot of Mike Redmond when we had him, you know a low key pitcher that with the right run supprt he will give you 12-14 games a year. GUARANTEED. Maybe we could use him as a long releiver, with a starting rotation of Beckett, Burnett(if he stays) or Arroyo, or even Chacin (all three as a 2nd starter), Willis, Vargas, Olsen or Valdez or Moehler. We have a few options.... Plus has anyone noticed, YES the Marlins have given up major runs lately, but its not like if we have not scored runs either(except that game in Philly againt Padilla), most of the games we have lost lately have been b/c of errors(Conine, Lowell, Gonzalez) and b/c of the releif staff(Messenger, De Los Santos, Bump), we are not in as bad of a situation as it may seem

Anyone see the trade involving the royals and red sox.........im upset the red sox get a average 2nd baseman in graffanino.....and the royals get two mid-level prospects (an outfielder and pitcher)... I dont get it, it the royals got what they received what is the problem with the marlins..........the orioles are offering us BS, personally I dont like Cabrera or Penn, or Julio, or Bigbie......Id rather trade Burnett and Lowell to the tigers and get in return Rondell white, a prospect and Jason Johnson or Bonderman........

so what if Fregosi and delgado dont like each other...i think they can put aside there differences to win..winning is more important than bitterness, plus I dont think Delgado wlll hold a grudge, he plays ball the way its supposed to be
