I hope the Marlins get a key for a new stadium in South Florida

Just got off the phone with Jerry Del Castillo, he says that the talks went well into monday night and look very promising...hialeah heights is the place and it looks like the county is almost done acquiring the land from Armando Codina.....anyhow..i should be hearing from JDC in the near future I remember Codina stating in an article that his land was not for sale. Is he giving the land away or is the county paying for this land? Wouldn't that decrease their contribution in building this stadium?

I wanted to start a new thread on this topic but did anyone see George Burgess the Dade County manager on channel 10. He was being interviewed by Michael putney. There is a battle between him and Joe Arriola over Parrot Jungle owing money to the county and how he received a letter from Joe Arriola that was not acceptable. County Tax payers have been paying for this atttraction and not one penny has come from the attraction itself or the City of Miami. I believe it's like 25 million owed.

Is Dade County going to help out at this location? Last I heard there were few politicians in the Dade commission that would not be in favor of this site and may not approve it.

Speaking of Panthers. I had to do some cleaning around the house. I have a Florida Panthers Inaugural season poster with certificate of authenticity it is also signed by Rob Neidermeyer #44 when he did an autograph signing at Miami International Mall back in 93/94 season. I have dish through dish network which does not require signing a contract. If thats what you are looking for. My neighbor has comcast and it has not been the same for her after the storm since she still has problems with it today. I only had to move my dish back into its proper coordinates and I got the feed again. Real simple compared to waiting for a cable technician to see whats wrong with the cable lines at the utility poles. I watch a lot of sports. I really do not care what their political views are, they are participating in a sporting event, not a political rally. It was the same way I viewed athletes from the old Soviet Union, may not have agreed with any political beliefs they had, but they were there for the sports, not the politics. Any one listen to Joe Rose yesterday morning? He had Joe Arriola on speaking about the Marlins potential move to San Antonio. As much as everyone hear including myself does not like Joe Arriola I have to admit he was quite funny about the situation. He made a comment where San Antonio was offering $200 million for the stadium and all that was needed from the Marlins was $100 million (up front money not rent). He said if the Marlins would have had $100 million during their failed negotiations then there would have been no problem getting the construction going for the new ballpark in Miami. (It was somewhere along those lines that he had mentioned it) He further stated that the City of Miami has not closed the door on the Marlins and if that they want to come back to the table he would be open about it. He did mention that they should sell the team to someone locally who has money to afford the team and build a baseball stadium. This is from what I can remember. If their are transcripts please post them because I can not find them. I tried starting a new thread on this but couldn't figure it out.

Since we are also on the subject of consoles....I heard that play station three is going to have blue ray disc capability. Has anyone seen a video played on this type of disc? Is it such a big deal? I heard something that this will change/replace the current DVD's.

I got fight night round 3 after it was suggested by one of you guys on this thread. It's so freakin awesome. Me and my wife enjoy fighting each other on the screen. I'm always taunting her with the x button. Do you guys manually heal or automatic? Is their a benefit if you manually heal your self?

It's funny how we keep talking about polls. What a nonsense they are. I remember they had all these polls talking about how the president was going to lose including the exit polls. When it came down to it in 04 the only poll that counted was the votes that kept our president in office. I mean he overwhelmingly kicked John Kerry's ass in the elections.

I have the 360 also. Its awesome! my only complaint is that they need to develop new games quicker. I bought the complete bundle in hopes that I could play my other games from the original xbox.

I think instead of just asking one question on the ballot such as raising a half cent...why dont they also ask if passed by voters where would you prefer the location to be? Hialeah Park, Hialeah Heights, Miami Bicentenial, downtown, etc. It would be great if the voters could actually decide what to do with the tax money raised for a new stadium in Dade county. The Bicentenial park is only in the planning stages from what I've heard. If given to the voters I'm sure they would vote in favor of building the stadium at this site which would block the two museums they have planned and relocate them to another area within downtown. It's just an idea.
