He was pitching at Las Vegas, making the outing more impressive. He gave up six hits, walked two and struck out seven in the complete-game loss. Nolasco is expected to make at least one more start before being recalled. Not a bad line considering it was in Vegas. Hopefully he has another dominant performance next time out and returns to true form before being called back up. We need him to pitch well.

I love how people say Pinto is terrible... but he has an ERA of 1.23!!! OK his WHIP is probably bad, and I do think he's been overworked again which could mean he's due for a 2nd half collapse... but I think we should give him a liiiiiittle bit of credit for the way he's performed thus far.

I read though that he was purposely pounding the strike zone as the Tigers staff weren't really concerned with his stats, they just wanted him to try and throw strike after strike (which he was mostly able to do), so that would probably explain the low K numbers / earned runs as he wouldn't have thrown that many balls off the plate for them to chase.
