  1. Sunday vs. BOS - JJ Monday vs. WAS - Nolasco Tuesday vs. WAS - Olsen Wednesday vs. WAS - Willis Thursday vs. WAS - Sanchez Friday vs. NYM - JJ Saturday vs. NYM Game 1 - Nolasco Saturday vs. NYM Game 2 - Pinto Sunday vs. NYM - Olsen Link :thumbup I think Sanchez will do better when he knows he's going to start, it's a bit hard to be thrown to the wolves so early like he was today. I know if you're a pitcher you have to be ready to go at any time, but when you're a rookie pitcher it's even harder. Can't wait to see Pinto have a start either. I guess he'll be able to pitch the next few days in relief as well if needed.

Are you sure that's not Gary Coleman in the first pic? :plain
  3. Moe - Saturday JJ - Sunday Nolasco - Monday Olsen - Tuesday Sanchez - Wednesday Willis - Thursday He's not really taking anyone's spot, but I think they're pushing the other guys back a day so that two of our main starters can pitch in the doubleheader vs. the Mets next weekend, and by my calculations that would be... JJ and Nolasco.
  4. I'm pumped, it was a great win. But we have to be realistic... tomorrow, with Moe out there, we've gotta score a lot of runs off Wakefield to be in contention for the game.
  5. :notworthy How good has he been? He struggled early, but as did most of our players. Lately he's almost been lights out and I can't remember the last time he either blew a lead or given up more than one run. He's been a tremendous pickup and I think he has to get a lot of credit for how good the bullpen is going, he's obviously had a positive influence on the young guys like Logan, Messy, Tank, etc. Even though those guys might be the closer of the future I think it's the right move to make JoBo the closer this year, we need an experienced guy in that role. His performance and our recent record as a team also has to question if we trade him before the deadline. Personally, I say no. As long as the Wildcard is in reach, and right now we're right in the thick of it, we need him. I hope we don't trade him.
  6. His name... IS DAN UGGLA!!
  7. Great fast inning by the D-Train.
  8. Sorry, yeah, that's what I meant.
  9. Sanity prevails as Jered has been called up today by the Angels, who have demoted his brother Jeff to the minor leagues. That's gotta be a bittersweet move... well, for Jeff anyway...
  10. Moehler going Saturday: After Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Devil Rays, Girardi announced Brian Moehler will start Saturday against the Red Sox. The manager had been holding off naming a Saturday starter, because Moehler was a possibility to be used in long relief in the series with Tampa Bay. Moehler pitched four innings last Friday in a 6-5 loss to the Yankees at Yankee Stadium. Another starting option was rookie Anibal Sanchez, who will get a start sometime next week. The Marlins will be needing an extra starter because they have a doubleheader scheduled at the New York Mets on July 8. http://florida.marlins.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/...t=.jsp&c_id=fla Damn.
  11. Positives: -D-Train and JJ will be pitching. -Schilling and Beckett won't be pitching. -We have a day off tomorrow and Boston don't, and they'll be tired from the flight to Florida. -The hopeful full-time return of UGGLA!! Negatives: -Boston's bats. -Jon Papelbon.
  12. Damn. I find his insights and comments more productive than most of the other so-called analysts on ESPN. Get well soon Peter.
  13. - No matter how many times he will strike out, Miguel Olivo can absolutely CRUSH a ball, he has speed on the bases and has a cannon for an arm.
  14. Like someone else said, why fix something that ain't broke? It just isn't about hitting ability. Treanor is able to manage the lefties very effectively and to be honest I care more about the pitching than I do the hitting at this point. It'd screw up Willis and especially Olsen to be so comfortable with someone and then have to adjust. And I agree with the point about preventing wear and tear down the road as the season progresses, it's just a smart approach.
  15. Jason Grilli won his first ever major league start. I rest my case. :plain
  16. Damn, those pitching match-ups are AWESOME.
  17. Freddy Sanchez is beating Cabrera in All Star voting?!? What the hell is wrong with people?
  18. Holy cow how fast is Olivo?! He's faster than Ross!
  19. Well that was smart.

After Dan Uggla's homerun in Baltimore, Hanley Ramirez gave him a "pat" on the back. Now we know why he's been out the past few days. :lol
  21. The Angels are just stupid. How they could demote him is unbelievable. Not to mention I had him on my fantasy team...
