Juan C. Rodriguez @JCRMarlinsbeat 5m Some #Marlins players hearing Ozuna has a torn ligament in left thumb. Likely headed to MLB DL, not AA Jax.

Article: The Marlins Are At It Again
Go root for the Rays then. I like how Ozuna, Yelich, and Marisnick will all have considerable Major League experience going into spring training next year.

7/8 Braves @ Marlins
Hatcher is on his way out right??? Completely useless....Maybe he should convert back to catcher.

4/10 postgame. lol
At least those that were too young to remember the 1998 Marlins now have their own version to be ashamed of.

Gary Sheffield Hall of Famer?
He shouldn't but there are less deserving recent hall of famers like Rice, Perez and Dawson so compared to them maybe he should be in. Lol... Andre Dawson doesn't belong in the HOF? I hope you are joking....if not, please refrain from posting again.

Something Positive About the 2013 Roster!
Has anyone ever stopped and thought that no one goes to the games simply because baseball is just too boring? If you are talking about a team as bad as the Marlins were at the end of last year, how can you expect people to pay money to be bored? Granted, I had a grand ole time each of the half dozen or so times I drove down to the new ballpark last year. But I am a baseball nut. For the everyday casual baseball fan in Miami (and South Florida), how could you expect them to pay money to go sit around and be bored? They can just stay at home, kick on the game in HD, and save their money.

BJ Upton Signs With Braves
He hasn't hit better than .246 in any of the last four years. He's not "young" anymore. At 28, I don't see BJ Upton getting much better, if at all. It is easy to see both his homers (bigger ballpark) and steals (getting older) begin to reduce over his tenure in Atlanta.

BJ Upton Signs With Braves
Goodbye, BJ. Good luck in Atlanta. At least he's still in the southeast. Atlanta getting a star on the rise. Lol he had a .298 OBP last year.

Actually building around pitching and defense now?
The addition of Perry Hill brings more credibility to the idea the Maelins are focusing in on defense right now. It just occurred to me that we traded away one of the best defensive prospects in baseball (Matt Dominguez) for half a season of fat @ss Carlos Lee. This move is looking more and more foolish if the team is indeed going "all-in" on defense.

Johnson, Buehrle, Reyes, Buck, Bonifacio to Toronto
2013 Fish lineup at this time C : Branlty / Mathis 1B : LoMo 2B : Solano 3B : Hechavarria SS : Escobar LF : Ruggiano CF : Marisnick? / Yellich? RF : Stanton Rotation 1. Nolasco 2. Turner 3. Eovaldi 4. Alvarez 5. Nicolino? Fernandez? Pretty sure we'll see Gorkys in CF opening day Nolasco is surely next to go.

Johnson, Buehrle, Reyes, Buck, Bonifacio to Toronto
With all the holes this team has it would have been nice to have a "super" utility-man like Bonifacio to confidently plug in at almost any position. It's a joke that because Boni is arbitration eligible he had to be included in the deal. Ok, so they traded Johnson, Reyes, and Beurhle in a massive salary dump.... why push the dagger even further by throwing in one of the more exciting (and still affordable) players that remained on the team???? Jeeez.....Frustrating in many ways.

Jose Fernandez
Hopefully he'll go beyond the 5th inning next year and possibly see a call up at some point. Exciting prospect none the less. I think that is more likely to be Yelich's timetable. Yelich will start 2013 at AA and is a candidate to be brought to the big club as soon as the All-Star break IMO. It's unclear whether Fernandez will begin 2013 in Jupiter or Jacksonville, but never the less will be in AA at some point next sason. It seems likely Fenandez will finish 2013 in Jacksonville, with a geat shot to make the big club out of spring training (but more likely June-July) 2014.

iPad Only Skin
I was pleasantly surprised by this new skin. I like the font and layout much better.

Get rid of Nolasco ASAP
This dude is one of the worst pitchers in baseball. Yet his spot in rotation hasn't been questioned all season.
-
Get rid of Nolasco ASAP
I Don't care what he is owed next year. As long as he is pitching for the Marlins, the team will go nowhere. I'd rather see ANY of our minor league guys than this POS.

The Franchise
It was a mistake for both Showtime and the Marlins to agree to do he show. Even if the Marlins were still in contention, the fact remains that we are one of the least popular teams in MLB. Due to this, viewership was Always going to be an issue. No one cares about some lame "prank" the relief pitchers play on each other. That was actually the worst episode of The Franchise I have seen Out of both seasons.
-
Jacob Turner
This is just a general comment, but the Turner/Eovaldi acquisitions show just how little the Marlins seem to give a f*** about advanced #'s. They acquire young players based on stuff and tools and apparently, they judge players using batting average and RBI's (and I'm guessing ERA for pitchers). No wonder this team sucks. So you don't like Turner??? You could always find a new team to root for..... It would be a relief for all of us.

Hanley, Choate to LA for Eovaldi, McGough
Hanley's words on "The Franchise" were more than comical.... "I hit .340 one year, so I guess these people expected me to hit .350 the next year, then .360 and .370." This guy just doesn't get it. To him, It's always everyone else's fault except Hanley.
-
Gaby Sanchez to Pirates for Gorkys Hernandez
I'm sure Gaby won't be a Pirate for long. They'll soon realize how little he helps a ball club.
- What the hell am I gonna do with this thing now?

Can we still turn this AROUND?
We are currently sellers, and rightfully so. At best this offseason (like last year) we are going to throw money at some aging guys who have plenty of downside. I think its time to stand back and see that this team is inept from the ownership to the front office to the clubhouse.
