  1. I will be parking on someone's lawn anyway. Parking garages are notorious for being a pain to get out of and I have always enjoyed contact with the people in the neighborhood. Until they rotate your tires... from your car to theirs. 20 dollars to park in my yard, no thanks i only did that for the Outback bowl and it was well worth I plan on going to more than 1 game at the new stadium, I can handle traffic. Anyone know what the fees will be to park in the garages? May not be less than $15-20.
  2. Dr. Andrews found no structural damage in JJ's shoulder. Got a cortisone shot and won't throw for 10 days. Forget July 16 return. #marlins And a collective sigh of relief has been shared among Marlins fans. That is good news. Sometimes you need the shot to relieve the inflammation.
  3. Even I am not Cheering for Victory anymore. SIGH....... They suck. Oh, cmon now, Miss Party Pooper. At least now we only have to watch a game until we get a hit. Then we can do other things or go to sleep knowing it is not going to get better.

  5. I thought the Torii Hunter incident was going to shift the momentum our way; alas, that didn't happen. LoMo and Buck need to get the bats going -- neither player had a hit. LoMo had good at bats and ripped the ball. Buck, on the other hand, was anemic. Looks clueless and cannot make anything but weak contact. I too would like to see Hayes a bit more-Buck is killing us, and try to throw someone out stealing once in a while. Yes, with the big contract come some expectations.
  6. go fish go. two bits. we will rock you. woo woo. oh damn, another loss. Oh now Mr. Poopy Pants don't rain on our WIN parade I understand, but I just hope that cheering will help everyones spirit more than all the depressing we lost again talk. Don't be mad at me please. Rah rah, poop, another loss. I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE. Balks and passed balls to lose a close game, then a sure double hits the bag and is an out. I can only sit and watch like a Zombie. I was going to go to the game last night, only live 10 minutes from the stadium, then at 6 the thunderstorms started. More depression. Rah rah.

  8. trying not to come in so late and repeat something-but I am shocked I have not seen anyone blast Boni for that Hermida type of outfield play in the ninth on Gload's floating fly ball. If he charges the damn ball he catches it. This just after Stanton runs full speed to try and catch a ball, Boni just stands there. That was the game there. Then we give Hanley the pass in the 10th. What kind of shortstop was that-he is in good position just off the bag and he stands flat footed and then dives at the damn ball-how about sliding over and fielding the ball. Someone, say something-you guys are getting numbed by all the losing that you are losing your usual edge.
  9. I feel like a college team was invited to join MLB for the experience and that is us taking a beating game after game.
  10. No mood lightening until we start winning again-until then it is all doom and gloom and the Heat aren't helping. :mad Oh now aren't you Mr. Pessimistic ! It's not pessimism, it's mr. depressing. I don't watch "baseball tonight"(except to see if the Phils lose) or MLB while we lose. They only show negative highlights and make comments about "only 6 hits in the game, about as many people there also"-so I am down until we start winning-but not pessimistic-although, it seems we may never win again-that's pessimistic. Now I am confused also.

  12. First thing he can do is look at Ozzie at bat in the 9th last night and let him know he will not hit a 6th grader with that ax chopping type swing. I do not recall Ozzie swinging like that in the past.
  13. No. The team doesn't even need a reliever; there are already eight on the team, even with Hensley's injury. Oh ya, Badenhop originally replaced Hensley. But I want to see Ceda damn it. We saw him last year, and it was not pretty. But, granted, experience and maturity and 95 mph can all come together at some point. Over 24.1 IP, 30K, 8 BB, 20H, 1.15 WHIP and a 1.11 ERA in NO. I think they should send Cishek down and call up Ceda. Last year when we called him up:8.2 8 5 5 1 hr, walks: 11: SO: 9 ERA 5.19 That is 11 walks in 8.2 innings. His numbers at Jax last year for 32 innings pitched included 45 K's and 20 walks and a 1.39 ERA. Again, his numbers did not carry over, but as I said, it may be different this time.

  15. Fan Favorite yes, but one of the most OVER-RATED players the Marlins have ever had from a fan standpoint. Some fans thought this guy was god... He's nothing but an average baseball player. It is amazing when a guy play for us, he is great, as soon as he is gone, he is a bum, like the post on someone calling Uggla, Struggla, some oo you guys are fun. "when a guy play for us"-really, try this everywhere. Hmm, seems like Lebron is known as a choker and a quitter-by Clev fans and his ex-owner. You know, how they are better off without this loser. Instead of being a self hater on Marlin fans, recognize that this happens everywhere.
  16. From what I read, Cody just can't leave it alone in the sense instead of being happy where he is, he takes shots. Said that now with the teammates he has, he feels like you have a chance to win every time at-he says he never had that before. REally, true or not, throw your old teammates under the bus. We say the same thing about Shaq, whenever he leaves he blames someone else for any failures. Cody may be saying these little disparaging remarks innocently enough, but they come off to me poorly. Further, he tends to forget that the Giants did not want him and were not happy when the Marlins did not pull him back off of waiver. They felt they were stuck with him-just because it turned out like a fairy tale, the Giants would have turned him or cut him if they were able.
  17. Cousins could not see that Posey dropped the ball (in fear) but the Giants fans think it was dirty and the Cousins should have slid around the tag.
  18. All they need to do is stop with the cowbells-that would improve their status many times over.
  19. Brian Anderson is a lot better than Joe Magrane and Kevin Kennedy. Yup. They weren't as bad as they usually are, actually admitting how impressed they were with the whole Ramirez-LoMo-Gaby-Stanton core of the lineup and the damage they will do. Overlooking Cogs, of course. And Buck and Omar. Still, not bad. But, after 2.5 games of them and the rest of their inanities I finally had to mute them, their limited concessions to reality notwithstanding. Biggest issue I have with them, aside from just bad hair, is that they talk like the Rays have been a dynasty for 20 years, rather than being good for just the past few years.
  20. Does anyone know where I can find where these guys stand/stood on the Marlins stadium issue? Well, I am sorry some people sacrificed their politcal careers for the stadium issue, and of course, Braman would never have pushed the recall for Dade County Mayor because that is the only issue that really bothers him. But, we have the stadium and I would bet that the Miami mayoral candidates are just as happy with it. They can say they were against it for the popular vote but have their phony butts right there on opening day, smiling for the photo ops and promoting the stadium and the city nationwide. Best of both worlds for these jerks.
  21. Clay Hensley (shoulder) tossed three scoreless innings Thursday at Single-A Jupiter. Hensley was placed on the disabled list in early May with a hairline fracutre of his left scapula. He needed only 20 pitches to get through the three-inning appearance and is cruising toward a late May return. Source: marlins.mlb.com Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but doesn't it seem odd you'd have a reliever toss 3 scoreless innings when he usually only throws 1? I know he only threw 20 pitches but think about the cool-down period between innings, not sure that's the smartest idea for a guy coming back from injury, unless they have other plans. Could it be that they're going to stretch Hensley out to put him back into the rotation? His arm is fine, it was his left shoulder that was hurt, not his pitching arm. Most of us know this but the report listed above says nothing about which shoulder. It says "left scapula" Aren't there two scapula's on each shoulder? OK, I missed it, just saw (shoulder) parenthetically.
  22. ..traffic is going to suck. You are going to want to chill for a bit anyways. Traffic after a Phillies game always sucks. Gridlock for a while, always had to wait. Best access in and out of a stadium that I have been to is Camden yards. They have a rail system that drops you off right in front of the stadium and then takes you as far as 30 minutes outside the city to a Wal-mart where you can get in and just drive home My thought on this is other than the time it takes to get out of the garages, for those who use them, I just cannot see traffic being a bad as in some stadium areas. Some cities have just one or two main roads around the stadium before you can get out to the main streets. That creates jams. For all the years I went to the OB, whenever there was a Cane game or Dolphin game with attendance in the 30's and 40's, it was relatively a breeze leaving. There are so many streets to get in and out of the area-but if you do not know them, don't expect me to tell you.
  23. It's like the Phillie Phanatic. What the hell are you? A hairy cucumber? Except the phanatic is perhaps the funniest mascot around now. I get a big kick out of him. Only the original chicken compares.

  25. Dod you guys think this is Mike Lowell 2005 all over again? We would of made the playoffs if he didn't have such a horrible year. I'm not entirely sure about that. We went 83-79 in 2004 with him doing great. We went 83-79 in 2005 with Delgado having a great year and Lowell slumping. *shrug* Yes, my memory tells me he was at his worst with less than 2 outs and a man on third. Countless pop ups withs bags loaded, etc etc in close games. Keep in mind, it is my memory. Not that it matters much, but interesting that Uggla is at .198 now. How would that power duo of Hanley and Uggla be discussed on these boards.
