June 5, 200818 yr I hate being a cheerleader for attendance, but Griffey is at 599 and has three games against us this weekend. Knowing our staff, it is going to happen. I'm just pointing this out since no one has yet and don't want this to fall through the cracks if somehow you are unaware of the situation for the weekend. There aren't many people who can say they saw a 600.

June 5, 200818 yr Eh, I'm not sure he'll get one. This year he has gotten about 1 homer per 10 games. Also, as far as the "knowing our staff" thing, we at league average for homers allowed, 1 HR per ~9 Innings Pitched, so that's not really called for.

June 6, 200818 yr I'd actually love to see him go upper tank to RF - THAT has never been done - And probably won't EVER be done, at least I don't think. That's like a 550 foot blast and the ball still has to be a good 80-110 feet in the air to reach it.. I dunno.

June 6, 200818 yr If there's a save opportunity and Gregg is pitching with Griffey at the plate, you know he's hitting 600. well, I'm gonna defend Kevin Gregg, here. B/c Gregg's problem is his control. Gregg has allowed opponents to hit about .180 off of him, and he's allowed 1 HR, in 29 innings, I believe. As a matter of fact, that's why I tend to get a little more frustrated with Gregg's walks. I'm gonna go out on a limb, and say Sunday against Badenhop... I hope it's tomorrow against Olsen though. I'll be in attendance, most likely, tomorrow, after I take my SAT's. :banghead

McKeon intentionally walks the guy ahead of Griffey, thereby saying "Junior, you're less of a threat than the guy being walked..." Junior made him pay... and then basically told him "don't do that again"... Not really such a big deal... and yeah, I'd petition Junior to replace Killebrew as the silouhette in the MLB logo once he retires...

June 6, 200818 yr I'd love to have Griffey on our team. Definitely one of my favorite players. Plus, his video games rocked.
