"Kid" who caught Chris' first career HR

Featured Replies

He wants a Coghlan game-used bat AND a Hanley Ramirez bat as well. :thumbdown

Talk about being a greedy punk. What are the odds the Marlins make the trade?

He needs to get a life and find a wife.

We posted the same exact thing at the same time. Good to know someone else was just as annoyed.

100% they make the trade.

That said, is that really too much to ask for the ball? If he keeps that ball and Chris becomes the kind of player many scouts think he can, that ball could be worth more.

Hanley should hit a line drive homer and knock him out. That will take care of it. Kill two birds with one baseball :) .

The thing I hate is that all he is worried about is the $$$. He just wants to get the bat and sell it. To me that is not a fan. He is a greedy a-hole. I would just keep the bat and admire it.

What's the big deal it's just two bats.... I think that's a fair trade.

Who says? He didn't say that.

If that was me and I caught a ball from a team I hate (Phillies, Mets, Braves, etc.) I would definitely try to get as much as I can for it and sell whatever is given to me.

He didnt say he was going to sell the bat, ball etc. He gives me the impression that he is just there to catch the balls and get things back in return and sell it. It all seems pretty fishy to me. Who in the right mind does this for a living (it seems like all he does it go to games and catch baseballs) - a crazy dude.

He doesn't do it for a living, he's actually a police officer.

He's just a collector. According to him he keeps all the HR balls he has.

Two bats aren't bad. But I wouldn't ask for Hanleys.

Remember, there are about 3 or 4 bats out of a dozen a player doesn't want or use for games. Give him those. Lol.

I personally would ask to meet the player, or a couple of players. Get a few autographs on a ball, and be happy. Maybe, Maybe, ask for tickets to the next series they were in town.

Chris

I think the kid has every right to hold on to the ball and extort the marlins for as much as they are willing to give up for it...

Look at it from a Brewers fans' perspective. Who's bat would you ask for?

Wes Helms.

Maybins in AAA.

Bat you'd ask for---- Prince Fielder. Lol. I'm sure each team will scratch another teams back.

I don't think it is too much at all. Both Hanley and Chris have several bats, and there is only one first HR ball. This kind of stuff is chump change.
