Can't really blame him for the lack of production from so many of our bats, and offense has been our main problem thus far. However he has had some questionable moves with the bullpen and PH in recent times.

I wasn't able to watch the game so I kinda followed the game thread towards the end... One thing made me question Fredi's decision making: Was there any reason why Fredi let Amezaga bat with the bases loaded over Gload? Again, I didnt see the game, I am just curious or maybe I missed something in the game thread...

Do we know it was even Fredi who made that decision? Remember, he was tossed.

He sends Maybin down because he was struggling with the bat to insert the "Slugging" Amezaga and his .224 avg and .543 OPS in CF everyday (BTW Maybin's OPS was .589 when he was sent down). Great move Fredi...I love that he demoted Carroll as well who got maybe 1 game start if any

Fredi himself doesn't demote people, the FO does.

At some point in time people will start to point fingers at him.

If you are pointing your finger at him to be fired at least give your reasons. Do you think there is another manager out there who could be doing a better job?

As Rabb said above the front office makes that call, but yes Fredi did bend a little and gave Carroll a start before his exile. I wonder if that came from above as well because when you go thirty+ games without giving a player a start it should be obvious Fredi would have gone 130 if he had his druthers.

As others have said, I don't think Fredi managing is what is costing us these games, it is the offense, and he did get ejected last night, which shows he has some passion left.

What has changed between the 11-1 start and now? Offense and pitching has been down, can't pin that on Fredi. He has tried a few lineups and can only work with who he is given.

No matter who is our manager people will want him to get fired. Remember McKeon, Girardi etc? The manager is an easy excuse for dumbo players.

Fredi isn't going to be fired. He's popular with the front office and he's low key. Girardi was fired because the front office (Beinfest) wanted him gone for making too much noise. But, Girardi hasn't done crap since managing the Yankees. I think Fredi is a poor manager, but it doesn't seem like a lot of other people see it that way. Managers CAN make a difference, however. I look at 2003. I like at the bumbling local team, the Cubs, of how incredibly inept they were under Dusty Baker. The same guys that made tons of mental mistakes and just plain played stupid baseball, no longer did so under Lou. Lou either educated the dumb players or got rid of them.

IDK what they are waiting for....Fredi should go man everytime he fights with the ump no scraming, shizz show some anger or something throw the cap down at least show yourp layers you are backing them up no matter what

Funny that Dusty Baker now is doing a great job with the Reds...Fredi is the ideal Beinfest manager therefore his job isnt in jeopardy. He still is a crappy manager in the lower tier of the majors. If managing comes to filling up a lineup card and walking it to the plate, he does that well!...not much else really if you look closely I was shocked with utter disbelief when he got himself thrown out of the game yesterday, that is not like him at all. Maybe there is hope for him after all

I wanna say when it comes to demoting a young player like Maybin you can bet Fredi had a huge amount of input in that matter. It was Beinfest move but Fredi's hand was in there as well

If you honestly believe that Dusty Baker isn't the worst manager in baseball, this is going to be one of those "agree to disagree" moments.

Just saying...

it seems like we get at least one of these threads every year. This season isn't Fredi's fault. It's just the fact that we don't have a very balanced lineup at the moment with certain guys not producing as well as an inconsistant closer and starting pitching durability issues. Fredi has done a pretty good job this year, to fire him would be stupid, and would once again mean we would have to start over when it comes with dealing with a new manager. Basically it would be like wasting this and next season if we fired Fredi mid way through this season.

Even though I don't like Fredi, I think I would fire Jim Presley before Fredi.

I don't think our staff as a whole has done a good job. I'd like to see any of these 3, Wiley, Pressley, Porter get fired before Fredi, just because they have killed this team more than Fredi really has.

I would both Pressley and Wiley. I think we're about a week late for that already. Fredi I'd give some more time but some of his lineups and moves he's made lately have been head scratchers. The FO likes him so he isn't going anywhere anyways.

It isn't his fault we're playing this badly; with that said, I still wish Girardi was our manager.

Girardi not doing too good with nyy

NYY doesn't understand the meaning of team chemistry, when you constantly add little youth to a team and bring in new, overpaid guys constantly, you are going to get primadonas who feel they are the best, and it will cause team friction (aka A-Rod). Isn't easy to manage when you have so many big egos running the clubhouse.
