Sanabia emergency starts and has a career night, Gaby gets his first HR since July 30, Ronnie gets his first RBI since August 1. A good get back on track night.

Way to take advantage Sanabia! Given the chance to redeem himself, he pitched great. Good job Gaby! Hey even Cody got a double tonight! But it was definitely Sanabia who shined tonight.

Cody also had a nice hit all the way to the fence.

And we need a NEW closer. No more roller coaster rides in the 9th is what I vote for :whistle

Aw what's the Marlins without 9th inning drama? and I love how they go to the split screen with Leo and Ronny. In all seriousness, it shouldn't always have to be like that

Leo. So scared us again, but he saved.

Sanabia' sinkers and changeups were very effective in this game. I like his pitching style.

Gaby & LoMo... They did their jobs as a "LEFTY KILLER"

(LoMo has had good numbers against lefty. That's impressive.)

Good for Paulino taking charge at the end. Nunez and his obsession with his changeup..

Because throwing fastballs for leadoff homers is so much better.

Nunez has been throwing too many changeups lately and it's been an issue. Can anyone say anything?

The HR he allowed tonight was on his fastball. The domination last night was all his changeup. The two K's tonight were on fastballs. He has the stuff; people need to stop making a big deal about this.

We're not going to get a closer in the offseason better than him. People ask for a lights out closer as if there are more than a handful of them in the big leagues.

You obviously missed the sequence here. He threw 4 changeups in a row, and Andrew wasn't budging. The next two pitches were fastballs. See ya.

Anyway, Braves finally lost!

Very encouraging performance from Sanabia tonight. If he keeps this up, I want him around next season in the rotation.

And put that blasted video away Dim

60 up, 60 down.

120 in the books, 42 to go [unless they don't make up that one game against St. Louis]

Hmm... if we go 30-12... :D

If not for that blown call by Davidson, we'd be 6 games out of the wild card with room to dream. That a whole!

Great outing by Sanabia even though it's against the hapless Bucs.

I just love watching Morrison, Gaby and Stanton. Have the Marlins ever had so many promising rookies in the everyday lineup before? All 3 playing well too, future looks bright.

2006 - Hanley Ramirez, Dan Uggla, Jeremy Hermida, Josh Willingham, Cody Ross, and even Mike Jacbos.

Haha you guys beat me too it.

Also, the Braves, Phillies, and Mets lost today. We gain a game in the standings, and an ounce of hope!

And then the quartet of rookie pitchers going every 5 :)

Well I said it in the game threads, but I'll say it again..Logan has the qualities of a lead-off hitter. He makes the pitcher work, draws walks, and gets on base. The fact that he's a rookie and hasn't been in the majors for long (I forgot when he came up, but it was way after Stanton) and the fact that he has good patient at-bats is great to see.

2006 and 2010 rooies are very different to me. 2006 laid the foundation of a lot of power hitters and lots of k's while the last 2 years of coghlan, morrison, stanton, and gaby have added a new dynamic to the lineup that is low k, solid contact guys and then the masher in stanton. those 4 guys are exactly what the lineup needed rather than the ridiculous amount of k's we usually had.
