Marlins A Playoff Team in 2013?

Featured Replies

I bet the 2013 team will win more than the 2012 team. Yeah, I said it.

That's not saying much because we only won 69 games. However, I don't agree. If this is the roster we throw out there on opening day, we'll probably win 55-60 games.

I won't rule out over 70 wins, but based upon the way things sit right now I don't see a statistical net gain in wins. You might see some gains by subtraction in losing Buck and Carlos Lee, but I think there's going to be an overall net loss.

Catcher, 1b and the OF should work out to be better

The pen should not be any worse

the rest of the IF and the rotation should represent a marked downgrade

72-90 looks to be what I would figure on

Do people realize that JJ Buehrle and Reyes are gone? Them 3 and Stanton were the only producers of anything last year. How are we even going to reach 60 wins let alone 69?

Who is the top prospect for the 2014 draft? Lets just put him in A ball right now and get a head start on his development. Anyone know what Vegas has the over/under on wins for the marlins in 2013? I know it's early, but it's not there is any combination of availale AND attainable players that can turn this team into a playoff contender next season.

There is a combination, we just won't pay for it.

Dont predict anything, last year everyone was saying how great a team we would be, it was a nice thought but that little guy in the back of your mind says hold on..what if they cant hit? The marlins have for the last few years had a hitting problem. Im glad we got a new hitting coach.the marlins also need a new vibe..the last few years the team has been mentally flat.. As far as making it to the playoffs...you never know..
