BTW the worse overall was Hechavarria, He is MLB Anti-MVP
Wild Card
Ruggiano? Really? Would have thought it was Mathis, 100%. Who could have been worse? Dude hit .181...
YearOneMarlinFan
Ruggiano? Really? Would have thought it was Mathis, 100%. Who could have been worse? Dude hit .181...  If they paid catchers primarily for their batting average, a lot of them would be in trouble. Fortunately for Mathis and the others, a lot of teams don't. Admin
BJ Upton was worse than Ruggiano.
Eddie Altamonte
It is based on WAR stats, Ruggiano was the only CF with a close to negative WAR rating
Michael
Maybe BJ used some of his $75m contract to buy his way out of the Anti-MVP award.

Michael
Probably helps that Ruggiano had that 0-42.
Wild Card
Geez, our catcher situation must be bad when I question why Mathis didn't take this award... and Brantly was honorable mention...
Michael
He kept some guys out cause they have a good-great glove. Mathis probably falls in that region.
canefandynasty
At least Mathis calls good games. Brantly don't know what the **** he's doing out there.
Admin
Fish picking up some hardware before Jose gets his on 11/11. Any press is good press?
Erick
I knew that the catcher had to be J.P. Arencibia. Â As a matter of fact, I'm going to make a prediction and say that the Marlins are going to sign Arencibia. He's from Florida. He'll be pretty cheap because he sucks. They'll sign him and say "hey look, we got a new catcher and he has some power! We upgraded two things!!"
Piazza31
I wouldn't be opposed to Arencibia, he's still young- and may be another Saltalamachia
Erick
Considering that Saltalamacchia sucks too, he has a good chance.
Michael
Those guys would BOTH be game changers, cause they'd be replacing Mathis' bat. Sign both of them for 3/35 each.
Admin
Maybe if the Marlins had Arencibia's power bat in the line-up it would stop opposing pitchers from pitching around hitters to get to Stanton because he strikes out.

mystikol87
Maybe if the Marlins had Arencibia's power bat in the line-up it would stop opposing pitchers from pitching around hitters to get to Stanton because he strikes out. And that power from the catcher position would allow everyone to bat in their proper lineup place, amirite?!
