Michael
Morris with the 8th inning Houdini act, McGehee and Ozuna go back to back, and we gain another game!

Mr. Man
Considering the expectations before the season, checking the wildcard standing on September 10, good stuff.
Mr. Man
And can't believe Morris got out of that in the 8th inning. Holy shit.
SilverBullet
As cool as this was, I was overjoyed at Redmonds enormous smile at the end of the eighth and then him chest bumping the shit out of his boys in the post game celebration. That was too funny. Quite awesome to see. You don't see Buck Showalter chest bumping his players. Haha.
Wild Card
Right when I was done thinking about the post season.... They have to win this game.... And pull me right back in it! If they can end this season on a run, it's very possible. Not very likely, but definitely possible.
Erick
If the team makes the playoffs, that's pretty much the most remarkable turnaround in baseball history.

I feel like most of this year has consisted of amazing runs where expectations run high, followed by awful losing streaks. Then right when you lose hope another amazing run. dim
8th inning was something else. Morris should never have escaped that inning yet did. I love our outfield. I'm learning how to re-love McGehee. 3.5 back from the wild card. We really don't deserve it, and it really is still a long shot, but f*ck it lets take this league by storm the next 20+ days or so. I have no idea why they scheduled a doubleheader against the Nats for the third to last game of the season. Kinda ridiculous if you ask me. canada-marlin24
You could really feel the momentum shift when Baker struck out in the 7th and Duke was pumped. Then they tied it, which really wasnt surprising after that, and then Morris got into that jam. I really thought it was over. Like we blow against the Brewers so there is no way we are getting two in a row right? McGehee and Ozuna have come up huge lately. Honestly, and I noticed this last year, Ozuna has some ridiculous power. I think he got jammed a little on that home run. Reminds me of Matt Holliday. Hits those ground balls with so much top spin that balls that look like outs of the bat are hits and balls that look like he got under it or reached too much and next thing you know they are in the gap or gone. Henry Jones
One of the best parts of being a Marlins fan is watching the fandoms of the other team have meltdowns when they lose a couple to *THEM* late in the season no matter what the Marlins current standing is. I went to Kansas City to watch a game last season in early August and the talk radio on the way in was absolutely optimistic and pumped about the team. On the way out when they lost the series (Of course, the Marlins didn't win the game I'm at), the talk radio was like the WORLD HAD ENDED. In early August. The Brewers were doing badly at this point, but after losing a couple from us, the situation is so dire, Kato Kaelin is tweeting about the Brewers being dead after this. KATO BLEEPIN' KAELIN. Whatever you think of the Marlins having the reputation as THAT team with THAT ownership who choose to wear THAT color in public, I love the fact that it pisses other people more when they lose to them. SilverBullet
I'm not the guy to say I told you so... And in all fairness the people in this thread aren't the same ones who disagreed with me earlier... But when we beat the Braves Sunday I said this Milwaukee series was potentially huge and several people said I was wrong. I never guaranteed a playoff spot, all I said was watch this series and enjoy the possibility. Halfway through the series and I think you see what's possible. The improbable isn't impossible. Keep enjoying it guys.

pollythewog
mcgehee had a terrific game. he made those 2 good plays at third when morris loaded the bases and then he hit that donger (which would be an out in marlins park).

He has hit 6 or 7 balls this year at Marlins Park that would be home runs most other places. Hes also had a few off the top of the wall on the road as well. But having not seen him hit many this year, I knew that one sounded good but thought it would probably die on the track then when I saw how hard Gomez was running that it actually had a chance. May not have been a home run at home but was not a cheap one either.

Wild Card
After last nights win, the Marlins chances of making the playoffs went from 0.4% to 0.7%. That must be someone's opinion, because mathematically that can't be correct.
