Adam Conley called up by Miami Marlins

Wondering to see what he can do. He was starting previously but I guess now they moving him to the pen. We need another lefty anyways.

I'm interested to see him out of the pen. Could be a good second lefty out of the pen.

I guess there's this too:

Just weird that no one else has picked up on it yet.

I hope MLB teams also have Mercy on him!

It's weird, but if a soccer player tweeted something like this over here in the UK, he would have the piss ripped out of him royally.

Are we still short on the bench? Mathis, Solano, Baker, Ichiro... That's it right?

Yes

It's okay, the US is basically a theocracy anyway.

And heading into an AL series, so only three on the bench.

Although I guess we won't have to pinch hit or Jennings-Switch.

Jennings-Switch: a double switch simply for the sake of double switching. Formerly often involved Cishek, Steve.

Thank God we're not the U.K.

OK.

Once Nicolino comes up that will LITERALLY be the last of our starting pitching prospects that have any modicum of a chance in the majors within the next three years. Nicolino/Urena/Flores/Conley were literally the last of our system.

Conley's probably better suited for long relief work anyway. Could likely end up being a Brad Hand for the team moving forward (a guy who can start when needed but is better suited in the 'pen).

I'm amazed how lacking we are in starting pitching depth in the minors. If none of these guys pan out we are in for a rough few years of trying to fill out the 3-5 spots in the rotation after Fernandez/Alvarez.

The minor leagues are a cycle. Chances are, we are not going to have to wait three years before we have some nice arms in the system.
