I thought we went over this. Heyward would one of those guys that would regress big time if he came to the Marlins. That has "not living up to expectations" written all over it.

Becoming less likely that the Mets keep Cespedes now according to Jon Heyman.

i really hope the marlins look at cespdes last 150 abs or so in a muts uniform. If they sign him it will be a disaster.

Edit: Nevermind I was looking at something else. LOL PLEASE for god's sake dont look at those last 150 abs

IDC. Cespedes is a GREAT FIT! He is in terrific shape and will age well! Give him 120 for 6 years! Call it a day. He is worth it! Can you imagine our lineup with Cespedes and Stanton in it? You have to be crazy not to want this. PLUS Cespedes bought a house for his mom in Florida, OHHH THIS IS HAPPENING.

How about you give him that money lol. Cespedes contract will be awful by the 3 year in and that is being kind. Guy is due to regress. He had a Beltran type post season that is it.

I like Cespedes too, but for an organization that can barely afford Doug Fister, he makes absolutely no sense. He will cost way to much and his peripherals suggest a huge decline from here on out and once he gets to year 3/4 yikes, but Loria will be gone by then anyway so might actually make a lot of sense for him to sign him

If Loria signs him, that contract will be back loaded pretty heavily and the new ownership would be stuck with an albatross contract.

Guys, read Samson's comments yesterday. They won't spend big on pitching, only on offense... they have some payroll room...

Who are the options on pitching then. Besides them trying to scour the recycling bin for Doug Fister. Is someone like Mike Leake a candidate for them?

Anyone in Fister range but Fister is the actual name mentioned so far

Who is the first to get injured in the marlins outfield if cespedes signs with us?

So you're saying there's a chance
