March 28, 201610 yr The Kolek pick in general. So many better picks in that draft. no doubt....The marlins were probably the only team that ranked him as high as he was. Nola and Rodon and without a doubt Rodon were better prospects
March 28, 201610 yr I wont believe this until Joe reports it. I won't believe it until Admin says it isnt true

April 3, 201610 yr 04/01/2016 10:30 AM ET Marlins Prospect Primer: Kolek must wait Miami's top prospect made strides before suffering right elbow injury At the crossroads: Tyler Kolek, RHP Saying the 20-year-old is at the crossroads is less a commentary on his standing with the Marlins -- an organization that holds him in high esteem and sees the right-hander as a future frontline starter -- and more a reference to the fact that Kolek's development will be temporarily halted due to an elbow injury that will sideline him indefinitely. here more http://www.milb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20160401&content_id=169643118&fext=.jsp&vkey=news_milb&sid=milb
April 3, 201610 yr I hate this team The "I hate this team" of Entendu was just like the "Culture of losing" of Vince.
April 4, 201610 yr Author You know he probably needs surgery but they Marlins are holding off. It's typical Marlins behavior.
April 5, 201610 yr You know he probably needs surgery but they Marlins are holding off. It's typical Marlins behavior. "We're going to try and rehab it, then rest and rehab, then shut him down the year, then see how he's feeling next year, rinse and repeat ... we feel surgery won't be necessary unless this continues in 2019."
April 5, 201610 yr no doubt....The marlins were probably the only team that ranked him as high as he was. Nola and Rodon and without a doubt Rodon were better prospects This whole idea is complete BS and absolute revisionist history. While Rodon was the clear #2 and only dropped one slot because of salary demands, Kolek was literally right behind him at #3. He was dominating high school and was one of the only pitchers in the entire country that can hit triple digits regularly. He was drafted with the idea that he was a project but with incredibly high upside if he could develop a secondary pitch and gain some control. So far that didn't happen and the pick looks awful in retrospect, but I absolutely hate people going back and making it look like the team was absolutely out of their mind for picking Kolek. They without a doubt should've picked Kolek and went cheap, but Kolek was a reasonable pick and I damn near guarantee the White Sox were taking him #3 if we grabbed Rodon.
