The Marlin is blue, salmon represents the neon lights of Miami at night shining off of the fish as it leaps into the air.

Don't know. They used to play in Miami Gardens but relocated to an unknown location after the 2011 season. People are still on the search for them. 

 

 

Leading up to the 2017 ASG in Miami a designer created an amazing concept of ASG caps where each team's logo was converted into neon sign lettering on a black background, obviously representing South Beach night life. The concept was loved by most and, because of the professional presentation by the designer, many actually believed them to be legitimate. This concept looks very similar to what the Marlins are going for with this new logo.

Oh man, this is bullshit. Look, I’m not trying to be negative, but c’mon man. Is there any way we can do a poll to see what people want on this website? I prefer the Original Teal with the Miami “M” logo, but I want to hear other people on what they want. Dammit bro I’m praying to God this is not true. ??

 

It's definitely grown on me.....there's just a lot of black.........I'll have to see the full implementation before making final judgment.

I really hope we have a blue uni that's used often too.  We don't need just black/white and gray.  You can't try to sell Miami as this vibrant, entertaining city, and then you unis are black....

 

Scratch that.......if they're going to have the logo be black, a blue uniform needs to be a primary one, not an alternate.  Black should be the alternate.  The black logo on the blue will look sharp, I think.

I haven't been able to tell about the pink/orange......at first I thought it might be pink, but it looks more like the red orange we have now than pink.

It's all in the applications of it, seriously, makes a huge difference. This is why the uniforms are gonna be so key to this puzzle.

 It's definitely better without a doubt. I mean, I'm not in love with it, but at least it won't detract from the team the way the current look does. 

 

 

Another thing to consider.....if that is the new logo.....they were hinting at it all along with the players weekend caps this year - look at the color combo - logo primarily black on the blue cap.  It also gives an idea of what the colors would look like together with the new setup.

Well here are two examples of the black on the blue.  I don't think they look bad.

 

I think once you see the had fully fleshed out with a blue jersey with the black lettering, you'd be on board.  I just can't work on it until tonight.  If I weren't at work, I would.
