Well here we go. 

 

I know I've said this before but I didn't think this would happen until after the 2019 season. 

 

I have a few things in mind of what I would be happy with.

 

I did like the current logo but I know it hasn't been loved as much and I'm more than ready for a change especially in the right direction. 

 

Can't wait to see what we get. 

 

Also happily awaiting when everyone who hated the current logo says the new logo is worse just because Jeter is behind it.

Look, my contributions happened last winter, when I said I pretty much guaranteed they would do this after the 2018 season.

 

I was told I was full of it.  The logo has been basically done for months.  The concepts were done from the moment Jeter took over or within a month of that happening.  

 

If they could have changed it for the 2018 season, they would have.  

 

The quicker they can wash off the Loria stain the better.

It's better than the current logo but very disappointing. Huge wasted opportunity if this is real.

No way all this was done before last season. Why go through all the Dimelo surveys about colors, logo, etc of it was already predetermined before 2018 started?

 

Your logo letter AND character can’t both be black! And where the hell is red coming from as an accent color. I have no problem with the actual logo itself but the colors are hideous.

I don't know why the reporters are acting like this is still a competition, it was already decided which one it is. Maybe it isn't that one (likely it is) but there is no longer a competition.

I'm getting more used to it but I still want tweaks to it... which freaks me out because it's essentially already finalized so changes aren't likely to be made anymore. 

 

For the record the sports and logo design crowd on the other forum, not necessarily Marlins fans, are liking it more than the people on here.

 

 

I wanted teal back or the current blue used in the way teal once was. That was my favorite option from the start.

 

However, I don't hate this logo. The more I see it in action, the more I like it. We could have some really slick uniforms, I need to see those. It pops so well on basically every color background I try.
