I'm usually not a fan of the singular logo patch on the uniforms, but I think this one works.

 

 

with pink highlights  @rmc523 I'm with you on the single patch.  This would be an alternate.  I think there are great script opportunities for a white jersey

We also don't have any idea if they'll even have a jersey with the cap logo on it alone. We're only doing that because we don't have any ideas what the wordmarks are gonna look like yet.

 

 

One more.  This version makes the name plate blue with silver outlines.  Of the three, as the design progresses away from white trim the design seems to improve (this particular variety at least...IMO)

I constructed the logo in Illustrator from the two images we've seen (the one on the Spring training ticket and the cap picture)

 

I then put them over 4 different backgrounds.  the Salmon and blue backgrounds do need a black outline to keep the drop shadow of those two colors from being washed out

 

 

I then took those variations and created caps of them:

 

 

Tomorrow I'll work on the "MIAMI" and "MARLINS" script to put on some uniforms.  Hope you all enjoy this step.

Wow, you did a great job. I wasn’t a fan of the logo at all and was discusted by it but it looks completely different on does hats...the colors are sick.

The logo is basically a completely different logo when you see it on items such as a hat as opposed to just the original leaked jpg.

Yeah, like SonofJack said, once you see it in a clear image, and especially on actual apparel, it looks so much better.

I've really come around on it, and honestly, if it's anything but this logo and the setups I made with the blue and whatnot (I don't think we'll see salmon hats/jerseys, that was more just for fun....you might see them in the team store or something, but not an on-field cap), I'd be disappointed.

That blue IS the current blue.  I used the players weekend blue hat as the starting point.

 

Oh, you mean a black top with blue bill.  Meh....I'd much prefer the blue top/black bill.

 

 

I really want an all blue cap. I'm not a fan of 2 color caps when the crown is lighter than the brim. 

 

 

I've gotten more used to the slant but here's someone's quick mock up of straightening the M and it does look solid.

 

This guy made the M white though, not sure I like it. Losing the darkness seems to change the intended effect of the logo.
