So how do we feel about the pinkish color being more of a bright red?

On the uniform it doesn't make a difference to me.  It takes attractive options off the table in the retail world, but for on the field stuff it doesn't change anything significantly.

If used sparingly as nothing but an accent color, it really doesn't matter either way to me.

I kinda liked the idea of buying a pink-ish Marlins shirt for some reason

I think I prefer the back script to the blue.

On the home uniform I think the blue script works best... it's the pop of color it needs to not be "too black."

It's reminiscent of this pic and is exactly what makes such a primarily black uniform work so well...

What you’re saying is exactly why I thought the blue would work.  But for some reason I think otherwise when it’s blue and not teal

Without reading through 59 pages, I saw the logo renderings - is the script leaked as well, or are they mock-ups done by people here on MB?

Looking at the hex color that Jack linked to... it's a reallllly saturated pink. It's basically the last shade of red before one would normally call it pink. Makes me think they wanted something that suggests pink without being straight up pink. It'll probably look pink in many applications but it also won't be a usual red like the Phillies and Cardinals use. It's definitely a unique color. I'm very curious how it will translate to actual threads on the caps and jerseys. It might look pink, it might look red, it might look orange.

In messing around with these images the “blue” is really closer to the old teal than it is the more recent ocean blue.

Yet another option.  Different piping.  Includes Marlin in the M.  Uses black font but the piping brings the blue down.  Thought about making the front number red, but it was too Dodgery.  I'm not inclined to incorporate pinstripes.

I prefer it when the fish is on the word mark.

I agree.  That would make the black script the clear choice. The fish doesn’t work in the other colors

I love the blue piping.

Here's an idea... remember the original uniforms had teal pinstripes? How might ocean blue pinstripes work on this uniform? That might help the darkness if the wordmark stays black.

As for which color wordmark they could easily have two... a black one with the fish on it and a blue one without the fish since the fish obviously doesn't work in blue. Maybe that can be the difference between the Miami wordmark and the one that says Marlins.
