What if everyone just made their own concepts after the original and this one was always just one of the options per Mish's tweet last week? What if this isn't the logo after all? I still think it is but imagine all that wasted thinking and effort here and other places.

 

It seems like this concept took off as THE one based solely on the notion that it was the only one with a trademark on it.

There's no telling who he knows. And it doesn't have to be someone important. The leak could have come from any employee in a clothing store or some schmuck intern wherever they produce spring training logos.

Fyi I still think the first leak is correct because of the pic of it stitched on an actual cap. You can't just mock that up in photoshop. Every other logo had more evidence of being fake while that logo is the one with the most evidence of being real. But we shall see soon.
