New Logo Coming

Featured Replies

This leaked

I just realized 2 things:

1) there is NO silver on either logo - the underside of the Marlin is a different shade of blue, which is odd/different.

2) WTF will the right logo look like on anything NOT white with the open-ended baseball like that?

It will be refreshing getting a good redo, if it's good. It stinks being stuck with:

Why? What about it?

Honestly, I think the low resolution on the original leaks really threw me off. And like most nontraditional logos it just takes time to get used to. The font is still meh but if thats the worst part of the jerseys they'll be great.

Yep it seems to be the thing for lots of people including me. Started out disliking it, now like it.

Next year is 2019 lol... the change is happening in the 2020 season.

If they are indeed announcing this next week, there's no way it wouldn't be for the 2019 season.

Why on earth would you announce it now, but oh wait!  We're not changing yet, we'll be the same for the next year, THEN after a year we can celebrate and roll out the new stuff!  #JustGettinStarted....NextYear.

He’s talking about the manufacturing change. It’s either under armor or Nike that’s taking over the production of on field jerseys.

That’s hilarious.  The Instagram account that posted it is the one that posted the original leak.  Makes the whole leaked concept seem like bullshit.  I don’t that the person behind that account posts here

Is that someone from here messing around? Or is some douchebag stealing that and getting credit for it?

It's not someone from here. It's some teenage Marlins fan who has his own IG account and he's just posting whatever to get likes. It's not impossible that his original leak was correct but he definitely stole this one from someone here, possibly through my doing, so it sure makes him seem unreliable as fuck.

Amazing a teenager would be the first to leak a real logo.

What if everyone just made their own concepts after the original and this one was always just one of the options per Mish's tweet last week? What if this isn't the logo after all? I still think it is but imagine all that wasted thinking and effort here and other places.
