December 7, 20187 yr If he didn't repeat himself so much, maybe he'd get some of those internet points. You say it once, he needs to say it nearly 70 times. i'm right like 90% of the time and you guys only care when @MarlinsLou says something
December 7, 20187 yr i'm right like 90% of the time and you guys only care when @MarlinsLou says something So you and @MarlinsLou both GM of the future ?
December 7, 20187 yr Well, no Tucker… These guys don’t have sources. They are just coming out with their own ideas and proposals.
December 7, 20187 yr i get concerned when someone says the Marlins will get what they "want" because Hill hasn't always made the most astute trades.
December 7, 20187 yr i get concerned when someone says the Marlins will get what they "want" because Hill hasn't always made the most astute trades. Samson said a few months back Loria would look at a Baseball Digest Magazine and demand certain prospects. He wouldn't take anyones opinions into consideration. He'd justify a deal by how many top 100 guys we got, and would trade guys because they werent top 100 in other words. I'm starting to give Hill more benefit of the doubt. From Samson's comments, Hill and Samson were Loria's puppets and just kept their jobs.

December 7, 20187 yr I'm starting to give Hill more benefit of the doubt. From Samson's comments, Hill and Samson were Loria's puppets and just kept their jobs. Hill actually looks and sounds more confident when he speaks these days... like he knows what he's doing and what he's talking about as opposed to being forced to just follow whatever stupid lead Loria gave him.
December 7, 20187 yr Some people had said this for years. Loria seemed too controlling and it turns out he was. Even though Jeter is very public with his appearances and seems very hands on, anyone else feel like he's pretty hands off when it comes to the direct GM stuff? It really sounds like Hill is the one running baseball operations and Jeter just oversees and ok's stuff. In his interview Trey Hillman said he has dealt only with Mike Hill and still hasn't met or even spoken to Jeter. That seems very un-Loria like to me.
December 7, 20187 yr It really sounds like Hill is the one running baseball operations and Jeter just oversees and ok's stuff. I think this is exactly what goes on. Jeter gets final say but he lets Hill put together the moves. He just signs off on them.
December 7, 20187 yr Consider the source but there’s this My favorites are Houston, LA and Colorado. Great prospects there.
December 7, 20187 yr Consider the source but there’s this Seems accurate based on everything heard so far. Damn JT and his agent would probably be pissed if they went to SD.
December 7, 20187 yr Seems accurate based on everything heard so far. Damn JT and his agent would probably be pissed if they went to SD. I think SD is aiming for 2020 to be competitive. So yea.
December 7, 20187 yr San Diego has a sneaky good farm system. They can give plenty and not have it hurt them much.
December 8, 20187 yr San Diego has a sneaky good farm system. They can give plenty and not have it hurt them much. there is nothing sneaky about their farm system. They have the best farm system in baseball. they have 10 guys in the top 100 on mlb's list and 11 and 12 on that list used to be top 100.
December 8, 20187 yr From all the teams interested, these are my favorite two potential packages that I think are realistic I would like for J.T. 1. New York..... Mets Mets get: J.T. Realmuto Marlins get: SS Amed Rosario 1B Peter Alonso If the Marlins did this trade, they would be filling two huge needs. A speedy SS in Rosario and a Power 1B in Alonso. Mets get to keep Nimmo and Conforto. If Marlins can also get one of them, that would be a bonus. 2. Los Angeles...... Dodgers Dodgers get: J.T. Realmuto Marlins get: P Dustin May OF Yasiel Puig A lot of people may not like Puig, but in this deal, Marlins get a 20 Y/O young pitcher that could potentially be a future Ace. I think with Puig, Marlins should try and extend him if they trade for him. I honestly think Puig would take the Little Havana discount to play in Miami. If LeBron James, the best basketball player on the planet, can take a discount to play in Miami, why can’t Puig? Puig would have a chance to be the future face of the franchise. I think he would love to come to Miami. Mattingly will probably only be here one more year, so I’m not factoring in Puig and Mattingly’s relationship too much. I think Puig could take a deal similar to Dee Gordon. 5 years, $50 million. I think that is totally realistic. Overall, these are the two trades I’d like to see the most. Atlanta, Houston, and San Diego would all be possible landing spots, but at this point, these are the two offers I’m considering if I’m the Marlins.
December 8, 20187 yr A mets deal will never happen, marlins want a Great Pitching Prospect... they got none. Only teams with legit Prospects are Houston,LA,Colorado,SD,Atlanta....
December 8, 20187 yr Mets get: J.T. Realmuto Marlins get: SS Amed Rosario 1B Peter Alonso I don't think this is enough.
