This was a question in regards to reynolds speciflcally.

They can still do it.

They could EASILY trade Cabrera, J. Sanchez, and Sixto/Eder/Salas/Fulton/Lewis (with or without throw ins) and get something spicy. Use my on-going Oakland example - also get Kemp and trade Anderson to a third party for stuff and that can also be used as part of a trade and the infield is still fine.

They are so deep they can take Watson, Eury, and Meyer off the board and they can still go for it and get it done.

Who cares about Jesus Sanchez if your OF is Soler/Cooper (maybe Anderson too) - Stud Muffin Savior Of Our Dreams - Garcia, and Bleday and Burdick are in AAA? This is 6-7 OF for 3 spots and a DH. Everyone is controlled years?

On-going broken record - they only have themselves to blame. They are either trying to be too perfect with a deal, or are over-valuing their own guys versus how impactful a legit CF would be.
