Nope. Brian Anderson.

We would know who's our starting CF in the OD when we saw the lineup card of the opening day.

They acquire Stallings and Wendle for non- top prospects, they just want to keep top prospects to save money in the future, you can say they want to develop the prospects or want to spend money wisely but you just can't deny they saving (earning) lots of money by doing that. They're not determined to compete, they're just make some small signings and trades to sell some more tickets.

I think we all know what the banana means …

…and given the banana but not knowing what it meant is not an adequate defense in the court of law. When you give a banana, best be sure you know what you’ve gotten yourself into.  🙂

Ignorance of the ‘na is no excuse.

Defending champion Braves replacing their best hitter (Freeman) with a great hitter (Olson).

Trying to compete team Marlins replacing their best hitter (Marte) with NOTHING ……

That's incorrect. That implies no signings were made at all. You're looking at it from a direct replacement perspective (CF and CF) rather than the whole team. Marte left, replaced with Garcia and Soler. Still probably not as good but not "nothing."

I understand where you’re coming from, but I disagree. I don’t think see this is a “selling tickets” thing. With all due respect, Stallings and Joey wendle aren’t selling tickets lol.

I see it more as a failure on the baseball operations side. A failure from the evaluation side, and quite possibly, a misuse of analytics.

Ive heard them justify Jesus Sanchez in CF due to his first step/reaction numbers. That’s great in a vacuum. Do you think he lasts 162 out there? Or even 100?

The failure to build a true bullpen to support your young SP. Just a mess. To me, this offseason has exposed a sheer lack of vision and execution on the baseball ops side. I hope I’m wrong

And if it was about selling a few more tickets they'd get their CF, make a better team, and actually sell MORE tickets in the long run. So that was a dumb take above.

So they didn't even want to sell more tickets.

They always wanna sell more tickets but you said they don't wanna win and that they just got Stallings and Wendle to sell more tickets and stopped there.  Why would they just wanna sell "a few more" tickets only? That's silly. If they wanna sell tickets they'll wanna sell more tickets which includes creating a winning team because that is how you really sell more tickets.

For those who forget this is how Castro's 2021 season ended:

"Major League Baseball has suspended Starlin Castro 30 games for violating the league's Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Policy."

Nats released him when the suspension was done.

why in the blue fuck are they considering Starlin Castro?!  at some point we have to look at Ng at being shitty at her job too, right?  Even without the domestic violence piece I don't see a need for him on this team.

Maybe Anderson is being traded in the CF package and Castro then becomes your bench guy. I'm ignoring the off the field also. They can live with Wendle-Rojas-Jazz and Castro on the bench Even better if that CF is Laureano and Kemp is also attached to replace Berti.

Or it's a MiLB deal and who cares.
