Why would they need to buy time? I think we're overthinking. I don't care who the manager is. I hardly care who is on the roster either at this point. This team is shit right now and I am as pessimistic as I was optimistic last season.

Nah that's dumb. I believe if they're interviewing so many candidates it's serious interviews, as opposed to interviewing 2 or 3 people just to say they interviewed multiple candidates.

October 25, 20223 yr Didn't MLB have a rule that required minority candidates be interviewed? How did Jeter get around that when hiring Kim? If that rule still exists, the only workaround I knew was when hiring from within your organization because that's more like a promotion than a hiring.

The Selig Rule which you're referencing was satisfied by race or gender. I am not sure if it still in effect, but Kim would have satisfied it anyway.
