What a team

Ahh, I remember it like it was just 25 years ago.

... I actually do have memory of seeing Bonilla's homer but I may have already been put to bed when the walkoff happened. Lol.

Bonilla's homer was probably the first one I ever saw so that's why it stuck with me.

I was 14 and remember running around like a crazy person. Poor Tony Fernandez.. god bless Joe Table. God I'm old

I was watching in my bedroom since my father refused to watch baseball any longer after the strike a few years prior. He was an Indians fan too so it would have been fun.

This was a late Sunday night and I remember my mom telling me to go to sleep to not be tired the next day for school. I stayed up but there was no tiredness the next day, what a rush I was on that next day! I remember discussing the win with my science teacher the next day too.

You know what this got me realizing too? I'm a Marlins fan since 1993 (or earlier really) and I remember so much about this 1997 team (obviously 2003 as well) but my point is how in the last few years I realize just how many people, including Marlins fans, weren't watching back then or weren't even born, or were too young, etc etc. Just getting hit over the head with how long ago this was and that it's no longer something that "everyone" was a part of.

I was 7 at the time, and would've been 13 for '03.  I honestly didn't watch much baseball until ironically the '06 team, when I really started watching all the time.

I don't remember watching the '97 game at all......but I do remember some parts of '03 - the Alex Gonzalez homer sticks out.

Hopefully we can recreate those types of memories soon.

except...

I started mainly watching in '04 and remembered people making a big deal of Hee-seop Choi.

The part of '03 that I remember watching is when Pudge held on to the ball in the NLDS from Conine's throw.

I was 20 for the 2003 World Series and had the TIME OF MY LIFE. Being surrounded by Cubs fans for the Bartman game was an experience I will never forget. Glorious run

Once we pulled out Game 3 against SF with a W, I knew we were in for something special. That was maybe the best baseball game I've ever seen

I was at this game, sitting in a section that had never been open for baseball before the World Series. Had on my all teal Bobby Bonilla jersey that I still have and occasionally wear. One of my clearest memories from that age (I was 12).

I can remember watching with clinched hands trying to breath when it went to extra innings, then the elation when Edgar's hit ticked off Nagy's glove.  Still gives me chills to see this moment, I kid my friend who was with the Tribe at the time of having the best seat in the house to see the Marlins win. 

Also @Iowa I had just left my 20's when the playoffs started and took my 1 year old to the first playoff game, so don't feel too old
