July 7, 20233 yr annoying, but yeah we all knew it was coming. He's already over his career high in innings pitched.
July 7, 20233 yr Limit his workload by sending him somewhere else to pitch? This is why I get confused. Lol

Lol I am guessing this means he will go 2-3 IP there every 5-7 days or perhaps 5 innings every 10 days. Something that isn't as feasible in MLB. Keeps him somewhat active and also limits his workload so he can make starts later in the season for Marlins.

July 7, 20233 yr I don't understand why he can't be a bullpen guy for us, pitching two or three innings each time and never closer than three days apart so he still remains on some schedule. Provides a solid arm from the bullpen while managing his innings. Everyone wins. Eh whatever. Ed is coming back soon. He's getting a rehab start tomorrow.

If Sandy could ever pull his head out of his ass this season and pitch like he did even 3 years ago we'd be ok but this is gonna sting a bit especially with that digusting August schedule they have.

I feel like Eury will return in mid/late August. But I'm not in the FO so I don't know.
July 7, 20233 yr I think with Cueto their still going to have a pitcher throwing two innings a game based on his numbers in Jax

July 7, 20233 yr Hopefully Cueto has another set back! At least bring up Monteverde and see what he's got. It can't be any worse than Cueto.

July 8, 20233 yr They won't make the playoffs without him. I understand the long term thinking but I also don't think the Marlins will be in this position again next year or any time soon after.
