There's no way this is true for an actual die hard Rays or A's fan. Winning seasons matter to fans. Look how much fun the 2023 season was for us around here. I highly doubt Rays and A's fans would trade their good fun and competitive seasons just to get a few cool players back.

The arbitration deadline was tomorrow, anyone know why everything suddenly went down today as if the deadline was moved up?

Edit: Players and the league agreed to move the deadline up a day but no reason has been given. Ok then.

I think it always looks so bad on the team when the differences are so close like for Jazz and Tanner. Just give the player what they want when it's that close, at the very least it sends a good message and could be motivating. A 2 million dollar difference like Arraez is more understandable to go to a hearing over.

anything less than 500k in difference is just stupid in this day and age.

I just want this team to sign some players and to extend some players and not to trade away best players, is it that difficult !?

If you consider yourself financially enough we'll off to buy and run an MLB team you can't whine and cry poor that guys get raises in the very well documented arb process each year. Giving your employees raises should be expected. Saying he can't sign anyone to improve an already cheap team because people got pay raises is lame.
