Probably because of inflation they wouldn’t do it.. because now even the cheapest basic burger at Mc or BK is around $1.99 or so..

 

It’s not like the old days where every fast food place had a solid basic hamburger for $1 or less.. man.. we were really spoiled back in the day with that Wendy’s .99 menu. Jr Bacon Cheeseburgers for .99! And also who remembers when McDonalds had those signs on the window with “.29 hamburger and .39 cheeseburgers on Sundays and Wednesday” 😂
 

 

 

The crazy thing about it is that I can literally remember in 2010 going to Wendy’s and their .99 menu.. and bringing a bunch of spare change from my cars.. like nickels and stuff and getting a baked potato and salad for a couple of bucks. Crazy thing is that 2010 wasn’t even that long ago relatively speaking..

 

I’m starting to feel like an old man.. in a few years when at the fast food places the value menu will be the $5 each.. I’m talking like  “only $5 for a small hamburger or a drink or a small fries!” I will be like “back in my day everything cost $1” just like when we were all young and heard stories of “back when I was young I went to the five and dime store..” 😂

I heard on the radio/news yesterday that Wendy's is considering implementing surge pricing for their menu - if there's a lot of demand, they'll raise the prices, and vice versa.  How ridiculous.

Some people on Reddit were joking about $5 fries during the surge hours and I was thinking like “well, maybe my prediction is not as far away as I thought.” I was picturing being like 50 years old with prices like that.. but at the rate we’re going I wouldn’t be surprised to see $5 fries as regular price on some major fast food menus. Of course $5 fries is normal for like bar food or sit down restaurants but that price at fast food places and for small or medium fries would have seemed absurd just a few years ago, now it’s looking like it could be happening eventually.

Half of the players that are batting are not even going to be on the Major league roster this season.

Wait until the regular season and with the regular starting lineup and then if after like 5 games the Marlins are only scoring 1-2 runs a game then it’s officially acceptable to say this offense sucks. Right now we’re just watching a bunch of A and AA players and the regulars with 6 months of not playing everyday..

Spring training means absolutely nothing about the team or the offense.

Marlins led the Grapefruit League in wins in 2021.. did that predict how their 2021 regular season would go? Not at all.

Pretty sure large fries are around $4 anyway at McDonald's. Gonna guess the shitty grease sticks are already at $5+ at 5 Guys.
