April 5, 20242 yr I'm sure there's been a little bit of structural damage that ownership has known about for awhile now, and he's just been pitching through it. He just threw off a mound the other day with "no issues." I think the 0-7 start to the season was the deciding factor. In what's looking like a lost season, ownership decided that now would be the time for him to have surgery.
