Was This A Good Trade?
Kazmir for Greinke and Markakis--- I send Kaz to the other team. Thoughts? Thoughts on Johan Santana and Adrian Gonzalez for Hanley and David Wright? I have Santana, Sabathia, Johnson, Nolasco, Strasburg, Kazmir, Bedard, Livan Hernandez currently.

Livan Hernandez 1997
Dontrelle in 2003 had 10 in a row I believe, or 11.

The Marlins are changing their name?
those giant orange letters on the grown look real stupid and the building looks like an aircraft carrier from the year 3000. AND HAVE YOU SEEN THAT THING THATS SUPPOSED TO POP UP AFTER HOMERUNS?! i'm down with getting a stadium. but... it looks kinda whack What the hell is a "grown" and the Letters are a nod to history. It looks like an aircraft carrier because it has a retractable dome in a modern art city and its NOT supposed to look like Target Field or Camden Yards. The thing is center is (as you put so eloquently) "Wack", but I'd take the Fish thing and the Apple in NYC over the blue tarp we have these days.

Edinson Volquez suspended for using PEDs
Semi big Name, not in NY--- I got a feeling it's a Red Sox Player, but "He No Big Papi!"

Your Opinions: League Expansion
Personally, eliminating the novelty of Inter-league Play and having every team play every other team atleast once should be the way to go. Then, RE-Relocating the Brewers to the AL West would solve alot of issues league size wise. However, Interleague is just that, a fun novelty that gets Joe Couchpotato out of his seat every 4 years to watch the Yankees, Red Sox, and Blue Jays come to town. 32 teams would be cool, but 1 in NC and one in California Would be the way to go. Cali is big enough to Handle it, maybe even Portland.

Sounds like a busy 'retirement'
Mike as a Clubhouse Broadcaster or as a special report broadcaster would be cool. In between that he can be a coach like Tony Perez or Andre Dawson. Involved with the team, but rarely travels with it.

BAHHAHAH Bobby Valentine W.S. Prediction
You guys are laughing at the wrong part--- The Thought the Cubs will be there at the end is as laughable as Kurkjian saying Dusty Baker is going to use Tyler Colvin as best he can. You mean Pinella? Thats what Tim Kurkjian meant.

Twins re-sign Mauer
Wow, 23 Million a year. Isn't that what MLB was trying to stop? It's crazy. Almost worth it though.

Andrew Miller trade rumor?
Am I correct in saying that after Wiley moved Miller away from his traditional pitching style, St Claire is now turning Miller back to the motion that got him to the Majors in the first place? Yeah, thats what he's doing. Going back to square one and starting it back up again.

The trade that thankfully didn't happen...
Even if he was fat...he was still a tremendous hitter. He could've continued eating all the twinkies he wanted/wants as long as he produces the way he has, imo. Thank you. Run Prevention, MLB's new OPS begs to differ. He's in the AL now, eating himself off off first base with a fat contract too. Anybody remember Mo Vaughn---Miggy isn't as bad, but he was getting there.

The trade that thankfully didn't happen...
He was, and still is in my mind a Fat Sack of "Maurice Clarrett". What does that even mean? Anyway...when you have a career .311 batting average and average 33 home runs a season, your weight is irrelevant. That means I didn't like his fat ass or his attitude. Or the fact that he wouldn't lose weight for the Marlins, but once traded started to shed the weight. He didn't care about playing. He cared about getting the biggest paycheck possible. F*** him, Fatty. Maurice Clarrett is also a fecal matter for a human being.

Cabrera is lucky we traded him. It saved his life. The rate he was eating at here in Miami, he might have suffered a Heart Attack jogging to first on a pop fly. He was, and still is in my mind a Fat Sack of "Maurice Clarrett".

Marlins Future in Floating Re-Alignment
http://www.sportingnews.com/mlb/article/2010-03-10/mlb-discussions-over-floating-realignment Major League Baseball teams would be able to pick their division and league annually under a plan being floated by a committee charged with examining the game. Long and short of it is that each team will be able to pick what division they would like to play in each year. For instance, if the Nationals feel like they want to rebuild and not take such a harsh beating from the Mets, Phillies, Braves and Marlins. Each year they can choose to play in the NL Central and compete and play against the Pirates, Brewers, Astros, and Reds. The Rays could possibly join the NL East one year, Then move back to the AL Central, then Move to the NL Central before ending up if they wish back in the AL East. (possibly the real motivation or Floating alignment is the power plays teams like the Yankees, Red Sox, Braves had on their divisions for so long. Interleague play would cease to exist, instead being replaced by a interleague like schedule found in the NHL, NBA, or NFL (you play anyone, any day, anywhere). What do you guys think? Personally, I don't like the idea. Although, I am in favor of re-aligning the divisions somewhat. I feel the Phillies and Pirates should be in the NL East together. Mets and Marlins can't be broken up. The AL west needs that 5th team, but if the league feels approriate, even a 4 division, 4 team per division AL and NL would be cool.

Jersey Question
Impossible for a mid season change. Look up Marlins 1991 and it shows us playing the cubs. Getty sometimes has the wrong dates. http://www.baseball-almanac.com/teamstats/schedule.php?y=1992&t=SEA SEPT 1 they played BOS. 1993 they played MIL on SEPT 2. Could be, but I don't see how it's impossible for a team to switch uniforms mid-season. I remember the Heat changed their uniforms in the middle of the '99-'00 season. MLB rules. NHL has similar rules and I think so does the NFL. And yeah, Piazza's right (I knew it was impossible for you to make a good point). Also, Piazza, you're a giant liar. You're going to buy the new jersey and you know it. Don't need the new Jersey unless Piazza comes outta retirement. I want the whole Board to see me walking down the stadium steps when I go and for others to think I'm a dumbass for putting a mets player on a marlins jersey. Ignorance is a fun thing to toy with. The Hat, on the other hand, I'm buying. So let me get this straight. You think Piazza would come out of retirement in or by 2012, join the Marlins, and you would be the only one that knows it?? Not many people know/ remember Piazza was a Marlin before a met. I'll keep wearign my 98 marlins jersey with piazza on the back until he unretires and plays for the marlins again.
