ik weve had a lot of talk about getting a 3rd baseman but what if we maybe put coghlan or sanchez at 3rd and maybe trade some pitching prospects for a big outfield bat?? or possibly a deal with texas they seem to have alot of that?

i think if we could get anything out of this possible trade it should be a young catching prospect! maybe one a lil more closer to getting to the bigs than skipworth. Just in case skipworth never really steps it up

to tell u the truth i say let helms play third 80% of the time and boni the other until we have a full time replacement come in!

I am disgusted by most of the posters on this board, who seem to advocate trading away a player like Dan Uggla. You guys all look forward to "the future" without looking at what you have already. Who is Chris Coughlin? Why should he replace Dan Uggla, an all-star who is the fastest to reach 100 HR for a 2nd baseman? Don't you guys want some players that actually grow with the team? Why do we bring these guys up, give them experience and just trade them away time and time again? I agree Coughlin has been playing very well but I don't believe at all that we should just trade Uggla for some unproven rookie. What if we trade Uggla and Coughlin turns out to suck? then what? No, don't trade Uggla, keep him a Marlin for a long long time, please. Keep our All-Star 2nd baseman! God forbid we draft a SS next year, or we'll all be calling for trading Hanley. i started this thread but now that i think about it mediocre wild pitching is NOT what we need right now! from what ive noticed this year we need clutch pitching from guys with above average control! now this isnt an easy task to ask of someone but now that i think about it we could try someone with better makeup and numbers!

i know he's got serious control issues but why not sign him to aa minor league contract and give him a shot???

miller looked good tonight!! unfortunaletly our only two relievers weren't the best for canidates for one run games lol Tough loss!!!

ya hes really proved he can hit major league pitching!! especially in single-A... this thread is a FAIL!!!

fredi cant be blamed for the teams struggles, most of our losses have come from lack of offense and poor starting pitching! not to mention our bullpens getting fatigued from the overuse!

so its gonna be catcher- skipworth, first- morrison, second- coghlan, third- dominguez, short- ramirez, left- hermida, center- maybin, right- stanton!!! damn thats gonna be a sick lineup cant wait!!!
