May 30, 200818 yr Not a bad idea....wont cost too much and he is pitching his ass off....we need a starter like him...it'd be nice
May 30, 200818 yr It would be nice to have someone like Livan back in our rotation. He eats up innings and that's something we desperately need. I just saw on ESPN Rumor Central that the Twins might use him as trade bait, but they have the Braves as a frontrunner. I'm sure he would love to come back to Miami...plus he has playoff experience.... Livan on the trade block? Livan Hernandez | Twins | Interested: Twins? Braves? According to ESPN's Buster Olney, Twins right-hander Livan Hernandez could be on the trading block. With very little quality starting pitching in the league right now Hernandez will definitely have a trade market. Olney indicates that the Atlanta Braves could be a team that could use Hernandez and have been actively searching for quality arms Link
May 30, 200818 yr I don't know why they did not bring him in the first place. He did not cost too much compared to other pitchers out there. Bring'em!!
May 30, 200818 yr I don't know why they did not bring him in the first place. He did not cost too much compared to other pitchers out there. Bring'em!! I wanted him at the beginning of the year when he was available for just money. Now it will cost prospects-BUT YES, I love you Livan.

May 30, 200818 yr http://www.baseballamerica.com/statistics/...ds/?pl_id=18369 Pass. Look at the whip, hits allowed, batting average against, and k's per 9.
May 30, 200818 yr Here's how I see it. We (collectively) really have no idea what the health and progress of Johnson, Mitre and Sanchez other than the scraps we are fed through the media so we have no idea where they are on the road back, so answering the question now, is impossible. That and Livan back in Miami may not be the same as Livan in Minnesota for a number of reasons.
May 30, 200818 yr thompson and sinkbeil for livan You have to be kidding? I wouldn't mind Livan coming back this season for a run at the play-offs but not at that cost. Two former first rounders? Too much for me. Would have to be for a very low level minor leaguer.

May 30, 200818 yr I live in Minnesota and the fans here say they need help at SS and OF the most. I thought since we just signed Hanley longterm maybe we could trade Andino for Livan? What do you guys think?
May 30, 200818 yr Jacob Marcauex (has potential, has never really lived up to it though, was an invitee to ST 2 yrs. ago), and Jai Miller (We really don't need him, with Maybin, and Carroll, and even Dante Brinkley coming up) for Livan.

What do you guys think? If it just cost us Andino, I'd do it in a heartbeat, unfortunately, the Twins would be looking for a pitcher, an OFer and maybe something else, depending on who we sent
May 30, 200818 yr thompson and sinkbeil for livan Worst idea ever That's exactly what I thought. The Twins robbed us once. Never again.

May 30, 200818 yr No thank you. I'd rather call up one of our young guns that the National League has never seen before and they don't have detailed scouting reports on, like a Ryan Tucker. Chris Volstad won't have the same effect IMO since he is such an extreme GB pitcher and we don't have infield defense good enough yet to back him up. Livan is way too hittable.
