September 9, 200817 yr They should shut him down for the rest of the season. Why not? Anibal is going to be here next year, simply b/c he's locked up, long-term. He's coming off a torn labrum, not so long ago. Let him rest it out the rest of the year, and hopefully comeback strong next Spring Training. Insert Miller in his spot to see if he can show some steady improvement, in September.
September 9, 200817 yr i think your right. the last thing we want is for anibal to get injured and be out again.
September 9, 200817 yr I agree, or maybe pitch him from the bullpen on rare occasions to keep his arm fresh but still rested. We are obviously out, and ranking lower can really only help us now as far as drafting, so we arent demanding anything out of him, just prepair for next season.
September 9, 200817 yr I like Anibal to be our future #3 starter, but for now i agree, he just isn't right, he needs some R&R.
September 9, 200817 yr He definently is sucking it up and his play cant be helping his confidence any. I personally dont think he will ever be what we thought but i dont want him injured again. Next year roataion I think will be Nolasko,JJ,Volstad, Miller and sanchez are interchange able to me.
September 9, 200817 yr Time to let Sanchez get some rest, his last couple of turns indicate his arm is not up to strength. Is there still talk of shutting Volstad down too? If that were the case and they shut both of them down I think the Fish owe it too hendrickson to get a start or two in that situation.
September 9, 200817 yr I don't know if rest is best thing I think last year showed him, if you are injured, speak up. So I don't think it's injury I think he just needs to get back into game form. Only way to do that is experience. Better get it out now, than next year.

Shut Him down let him get back to 100 % lets give A Millie some starts I wanna do both, put Anibal in the pen and send Miller out for the starts
September 9, 200817 yr shut down anibal hviously isnt at 100 just like wade last season he played a few games and they shut him down look at him now
September 9, 200817 yr If left handed batters continue to hit him like they are, I see Sanchez becoming a relief pitcher who can be used in the late innings to get right handed batters out. With his recent surgery and the Marlins out of the race, he should certainly be shut down.
September 11, 200817 yr I know all about his injury and all, but I have not seen Anibal approach the mound with confidence at any time in the last two years like he did in his rookie year. He was so electric then and he knew that he could get hitters out as long as he executed. Now he just looks uncomfortable on the mound. Hopefully ST will help him regain his form or else he'll have to spend some time in the minors because I think that, physical issues or not, he is not mentally prepared to dominate.
September 11, 200817 yr Anibal is still coming back from a tough injury, its ok that he isnt playing 100%. No reason to shut him down unless something is hurting. Otherwise its good that he pitches so he can slowly regain his form. When healthy, I believe he has the best stuff of 2006 group, except for maybe johnson. As for Andrew, his knee is not at 100% yet per Tommy hutton. So his plant knee cant take the punishment of starting games just yet.
September 11, 200817 yr With the off days they should just skip his start for now. I don't think they will formally shut him down, but he shouldn't be going out there this week.
September 11, 200817 yr I think he's altered his delivery a little because of the injury and I think his location is off as a result. His breaking ball is hanging a bit more also. I think he will eventually get it together as his shoulder gets stronger and the muscle memory returns. As long as he's not having pain I think its ok to let him pitch but don't overwork him in games.

He probably is hurt.
