Marlins defeat the Nationals 7-4.

Volstad: 4.1 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 5 BB, 5 SO

Save: Lindstrom

2B: Baker (3)(4), Ramirez (3), Ross (2), Helms (1)

HR: Ross (3)

Cody Ross is the man. John Baker with the initial big hit though, so props to him as well.

Bullpen stellar as usual. Nunez should have been out of the inning, but it didn't end up hurting us. Hopefully these last 2 starts are just blips in the radar for JJ and Volstad. I have faith they'll be solid next start, and that Nolasco will pull it together sooner than later. Don't want to burn our bullpen out like we did last year...

CODY ROSS!!!

The bullpen was great today once again, but Cody gets my vote for being incredibly clutch once again.

I would like to thank the Nationals bullpen for this win, we couldn't have done this without them :mischief

But seriously, I love this bullpen now. They have been put in another tough position, and still hold the Nats to help us win.

And finally Cody comes out of his slump and is now on a hot streak.

Hanley, your next, you need to get hot in Pitt.

I'm glad it's over. If I had to listen to MASN for one more second I would have vomited.

I'm happy the bullpen has been reliable and it's nice to see production from Herm and Cody but I'm a little concerned about our 1-2-3 starters in this series. And somebody get Hanley out of his coma for God's sake. That goes for Uggla too.

Three consecutive games against our most hated rival that we've had em on the ropes and HANDED them a victory in the TOP OF THE NINTH.

adam sandler's song and desperation from the wedding singer comes to mind..

someboday kill me pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaassseee!

im on my knees! pretty pretty pleasee! kill meeeeeeeeee!

i cant take it anymore. you cannot be worse than this.

This is a quote i found from the Nationals board :p

First of all I couldnt watch the game (gutted) however I was able to track most of it on Gameday.

The fight in this team is unbelievable, all 3 games of this series have at some point looked like losses yet we somehow managed to find a way to get the sweep.

Cody, well what can I say? After a dismal start to the season he has proven to be of immense value the past few games and is more like the Cody we all know and love.

Final point, does anyone else feel a bit sorry for the Nats and their 1-10 record? I mean obviously I am delighted we are 6-0 against them this year but normally a ballclub would get some luck and win maybe a couple of those games.
