pb1300
I think the last time I was this excited for an upcoming season was when we went out and signed Delgado. This team is the most complete team we have had in some time. While there are still questions at key positions, we are entering a season where expectations should be high. We have one of the better rotations in the NL, and a bullpen that should be MUCH improved from seasons past. I think its safe to say that we wont be as nervous handing over late leads to our pen as we were the past few seasons. Im not expecting 20 win seasons from all of our starters, but I would be happy with consistency and improvement. We obviously dont have a staff like the Phils do, but there is no reason why we should play second fiddle to anyone else. On offense, we lost Uggla, but we get Stanton and LoMo for a full season, which should offset the HRs and RBIs we lose from Uggla. Cogs will be back, and hopefully he can regain that ROY form he had, and hopefully Hanley can once again have an MVP type season. The pop might not be there like years past, but I think we will be a much better team at the plate. There are still some ifs with this team, but in the end, anything less than at least contention for the WC would be a disappointing season. What better way to enter a new stadium with a 3rd WS banner!
Erick
Yeah, I'm excited. As a sidenote, does anyone who has MLB Network know if they show some extra Spring Training games there? Maybe catch a couple of extra Marlins games on TV before the season starts? They usually only show a couple on FS Florida. My dad recently got MLB Network, so I was just wondering. gizmo
Haven't been this excited in a while either. We haven't had a complete team like this in a while. I'm not so worried about the loss of power with Uggla gone. Honestly, give me some timely hits and great small ball to score runs, and we'll be just fine. When spring training begins they usually air about one or two games a day. They try to get every team on air at least once.

97marlin
Still a couple of question marks, coggs in center, will Javy bounce back, Coggs at the plate. In fact if Coghlan can be all around okay, then we are in really good shape, and if buck can really calm nolasco, and volstad when they get in trouble we could be in really really good shape. It would be nice if Mlb network, or ESPN would talk about this team. I mean the reality is them and the braves are very good teams, and both will be competing for a playoff spot. I can't wait till the season starts.
poptart
i feel like i'm always blindly optimistic for the season. this year i'm REEEEEALLLY blindly optimistic. 90 wins.
Puma
I'm excited for 2012 more than anything. 2011 is just another year to me. Not expecting them to make the playoffs. I hope I'm wrong.
mystikol87
I'm excited to see John Buck handle Ricky Nolasco. If he's as good as Kevin Gregg says, then we could see Ricky in sub-3.50 ERA form potentially. If that happens and Vazquez returns to anywhere near 2009 form, and this should be a pretty dominant rotation. This team has a chance to be very good. Jags28
Pitching seems fine though I'm a little concerned for our staff beyond JJ. Nolasco, Sanchez, and Volstad haven't been incredibly consistent over the years and we're not really sure which Vazquez to expect, staff should be fine though and the bullpen looks very nice. Offense concerns me a lot though, a lot of young bats, an uncertainty with Cogs and Stanton (Those strikeouts), concerns with the production out of Infante and especially Buck, Gaby's struggles at the end of last season, third base. One through eight and the only players I'm really confident in are Hanley and LoMo. There is a lot of uncertainty and hoping in that lineup, hopefully we don't have a slew of sophomore slumps and Infante and Buck can't put up comparable numbers to last year. Schnellders
I'm both excited and sad at the same time. Excited because we get a full season of watching Stanton and LoMo, and the fact we should have a decent rotation as I enjoy watching some pitching duels. However I'm sad as this will probably be the last season where I can stay up watching games till silly o'clock unless I move to America in the future. LordMagnus
To be honest, I think I was more excited about last year. I don't know why. I guess its the improvement of the Phillies and Braves that makes me feel not so enthusiastic.
Piazza31
Anybody else dreading the summers of 2013 and 2014? Isn't that the summers Stanton, Morrison , Coughlan, Sanchez are all arbitration eligible, as well as that the summers Buck/Nolasco/JJ/Hanley all come off the book? EricWiener
Our rotation can turn over leads, and out bullpen might actually hold them. I still think the team needs another hitter, but let's face it, they aren't going to drop the money to get a guy like Beltre.

What difference does it make if you watch the games on TV in another country or in South Florida? BTW Season ticket sales DROPPED this year. I had to ask twice to make sure I heard correctly. Seems that once "fans" got the priority seating for the new pond they downgraded their current plans. Now there's a fan base to be proud of. That's when I'm as close to the live action as most here are during the regular season. Beautiful weather, long lunch hours, and times when my phone mysteriously dosen't work. These are the good ole days.
