gizmo
Marlins can't figure out Shields but still take the series.
canada-marlin24
that was a pathetic display and a waste of time to call up a joke of a pitcher.

LordMagnus
Doesn't matter who pitches if you can't score any runs.
CyggyMarlin
Offense chased a lot of low pitches out of the zone today
Zero
Shields changeup was just ridiculous today.
Guest Lissy
Awful game, offense looked dead but I'll give Schields the credit he deserves. They looked foolish swinging at Shields' offspeed/breaking pitches. On the other hand, Buente didn't impress me either. Eh, at least we won the series. ren83
at least the Phillies lost as well
I Love Me Some Fish
Doesn't get much easier vs Cain on Tuesday.
canada-marlin24
and im also guessing that buente is not getting swapped for someone else. "were gonna keep running him out there" is something along the lines of what were gonna hear.

Rabbethan
Eric Reed on 790 is getting on the Marlins for not having a "killer instinct", calling it a "Marlins disaster" because we keep going 2/3 instead of sweeping teams. He also got on us for not taking to to a "pitcher like Shields". It was the first time in a long time that I was in my car screaming at the radio. EricWiener
Buente was timid, he is a strike thrower, so if he can let his balls drop he should be fine for 1 more start. Besides, he could have tossed a 1 run gem and lost, we scored nada.

I don't think that Domino's would be too happy to learn that Eric is calling into radio stations when he's out making deliveries.
Dr Beinfest
So uhh... I said Buente for 3 Sanches for 3 and Baden hop for 2. Do I get a cookie?

No, just some guy on 790 who produces on the weekdays and hosts on the weekends.

He definitely wasn't that today though,

After Johnson got hurt, anyone with a brain should have known that simply winning the series would be a major accomplishment. Hell, winning any series is the goal, and gets you a pretty nice number of wins.

Rabbethan
Eric Reed is a producer for 790. Eric Reid is the Heat announcer. This often makes listening to 790 really confusing, especially one time when they had Eric Reid on the Sports Brothers show, where Eric Reed is the producer. To make the distinction, Eric Reed (the producer) is often referred to as "E Reed".
LordMagnus
Yes, second place is terrible. Even though the Marlins are in the best position they've been in...in a long time....TERRIBLE.
Michael
Why is it that every time we win the Phillies win and vice versa with losses?
