August 1, 201412 yr No one is going to care until this happens to a larger market team. Also, people are distracted by the trade deadline news.
August 1, 201412 yr Cozart was already in pussy mode even before he was close to the plate WAAAH LOOK HES BLOCKING IT!!! F the Reds.
August 1, 201412 yr This goes beyond player safety. There was no collision. Mathis literally tagged Cozart on the fuckin ass.
August 1, 201412 yr And we're all with Erick. Nobody's upset with the umpires. It's the rule that needs to be changed. We all understand player safety, but in situations like today it gives the catcher no chance to get the out. It's basically forcing the run in without giving the defense a fair fight. I blame the umps in New York because common sense didn't come into effect with any of them. It's not even close.
August 1, 201412 yr Serious question. Can this game for whatever reason possible if at all, be restarted in the 8th? This isn't on the umpires this is on the system itself. I'm beside myself. You might as well dissect every single plate that's happened so far this year. Total travesty.
August 1, 201412 yr That call was bad enough for me to finally make a post. This almost makes me want to stop watching baseball.
August 1, 201412 yr No one is going to care until this happens to a larger market team. Also, people are distracted by the trade deadline news. Marlins got a lot of attention when Bob Davidson messed up a fair/foul call a few years ago. Was a big catalyst in progressing the discussions for instant replay. I honestly believe this will lead major league baseball to reconsider how they interpret this rule. If they don't, god help us all because it's guaranteed to happen again and soon.
August 1, 201412 yr Cozarts a FuckBoi Cincinnati Reds are FuckBoi's I picture Ice-T telling MLB review they are on the "down low."
August 1, 201412 yr God yeah I hate what Cozart pulled there too. "Ahhhhh!! Blue! Blue! There's a guy with ARMOR in my way! What am I supposed to do?"
August 1, 201412 yr To be honest there will be no satisfaction from me unless this game is replayed from that point. An apology doesn't give us back that win.
August 1, 201412 yr Christina De Nicola @CDeNicola13 3m Overheard owner Jeffrey Loria tell someone from the #Marlins: "I will happily pay your fine." #MLB @MLB @Marlins
August 1, 201412 yr That call was bad enough for me to finally make a post. This almost makes me want to stop watching baseball. Feeling the same way and I LOVE baseball almost as much as anything. I'm sick over this.
August 1, 201412 yr Christina De Nicola @CDeNicola13 3m Overheard owner Jeffrey Loria tell someone from the #Marlins: "I will happily pay your fine." #MLB @MLB @Marlins What this person didn't hear is the rest of the sentence. He actually said "I will happily pay for your fine piece of art".
August 1, 201412 yr This call is so bad that Loria is willing to pay money. He told a player that he's willing to pay their fine.
August 1, 201412 yr Let's all be serious for a moment. We all know this game will never be replayed. Ever
August 1, 201412 yr Apparently the game cannot be protested? Are reviewed calls canonical now? Would it be blasphemy to imply that THEY STILL GOT IT WRONG EVEN AFTER SIX MINUTES?
August 1, 201412 yr Das Texan from this site, a soon to be FORMER moderator said the runner was safe too. i'm just interpreting the fucking rule as its written. dont sew me bitch!
August 1, 201412 yr Anyone else on here putting a lot of pressure on Redmonds post game comments? He better not pussy this one. Go bananas. I suddenly wish Ozzie was here for this one .
August 1, 201412 yr What this person didn't hear is the rest of the sentence. He actually said "I will happily pay for your fine piece of art". that is fantastic
